Guangzhou cuisine — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

The food was well made and matched the price point and what was expected from the decor of the restaurant. The reason I will not give this place the 4-star they likley would have received is because I left hungry due to the fact that I ordered a start and two main dishes and the waitress/owner(s) made the decision to only order one of them because the main dishes are large. This is despite the fact that they allow you to pack food and take it away. Furthermore, when I asked 30-minutes later where the rest of my food was and through another couple who translated from Danish to English it was realized that she never placed the order because she did not understand me. This is ludicrous because I quickly picked up on the fact that this woman did not understand English as well as she spoke Danish and so I made an effort to move slowly through the menu and point at everything I wanted to order. Despite this I still ended up not receiving my full meal and leaving the restaurant just as hungry as I was when I arrived. Really subpar service and you likley won't see a review of it but I saw a family return their soups because there was hair in it and another couple have to stand up and go to the bar to pay because they kept trying to flag her down for their bill and she never noticed them. Would suggest this place only if you're in a real bind to find food (which was why I stumbled in since it was dining week in Copenhagen so the best/better restaurants around the city were fully booked...

Waited nearly two hours for dreadful food to arrive sums up my experience. Ordered Cantonese pancakes and the duck with white rice. Ordered two large cokes while we waited which were fairly flat and budget cola rather than the Coke Zero I had asked for. When duck and rice arrived we were close to leaving as the wait time was ridiculous and we thought of just going to a nearby KFC or something. Rice was tasteless and basically I have cooked better using Uncle Ben's Rice in a Bag. The duck was basically cut up pieces of the most chewy duck (or whatever animal it was) I've ever had. There was little meat and instead it was really just a plate of tasteless bones or unappealing body parts. After indulging in days of incredible Danish cuisine in Copenhagen, we ventured to Guangzhou Cuisine for a taste of authentic Cantonese flavors. And what a delightful surprise it was!

The dumplings stole the show – both the vegetarian and meat options were beyond amazing, bursting with flavor and perfectly crafted. Each bite was a symphony of taste sensations – truly tasty, tasty!

An unexpected delight was the fried bread, memories of the crunchy 'pastel de feira' from São Paulo (my hometow, in Brazil). It added a nostalgic touch to our culinary adventure.
