Tried: Tonkotsu Ramen, Gyoza and Karaage on a weekday 6PM. Very easy to get a table.
Short overall: Seems like a cook's own spin on traditional Japanese dishes, all while giving no indication that it would be the case. Bland flavors, wrong textures and overpriced. Waitress was lovely, that's honestly all the restaurant has going for it.
Long:
To put it simply, the tonkotsu ramen is simply not real tonkotsu. Noodles were extremely overcooked, to the point where I was having a hard time slurping them because they kept breaking. I was at no point asked if I wanted tougher or softer noodles, so I assume I was given the noodles at their "standard" hardness for this place. The broth was very watery and didn't taste like much, so it seems it was not done the proper way either. It was a red flag already to see the menu propose "levels of spice" on a tonkotsu, but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and came out disappointed. The charsiu pork was a good sized portion but didn't taste like much and the texture wasn't ideal (a little tough, couldn't really cut it with chopsticks or take a bite easily). Egg was cooked correctly, but wasn't marinated.
"Gyoza" were OK, but it was more resembling some other country's dumplings than a Japanese ramen shop's gyoza. Seemed to lack sesame oil.
Karaage was okay tasting, but the texture of the batter was too smooth/fine, so it resembled tempura chicken rather than...

I am deeply disappointed with this restaurant and their complete lack of responsibility for their poor service. On 8/1, I ordered directly from their website (since Wolt was down) and waited over an hour for our food, only to receive cold ramen. This was supposed to be a special dinner for my girlfriendâs birthday, and we were both looking forward to it, but the entire experience was ruined by the late, cold food.
I called immediately and spoke to a polite employee who assured me that someone would follow up and provide compensation in the following days. However, I never received any response. Iâve sent an email that has been completely ignored, and after multiple phone calls, Iâve been given the runaround. First, I was told the owner would contact me â which never happened. Then I was told they didnât owe me anything because they âdonât offer delivery,â which makes no sense because I ordered directly from their website!
This level of customer service is unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of ordering from here to reconsider. If something goes wrong with your order, donât expect them to take any responsibility or even respond to you....
Read moreCozy little restaurant close to Nørreport station. Their specialty is Ramen, which they do a decent job of. Bowls are plenty big, noodles are spot-on in texture and nothing is over-or undercooked. Pork is tender and savory. Unfortunately, both the soups we got were overly salty, which detracts from the experience. We also tried their hotwings and the pork belly bao (bun). The wings were good, but the bao was disappointing. They got the meat and the buns right, but it felt like they stopped short of a finished recipe. Bao usually have a savory sauce and a bit of spring onion or other crunchy ingredients, but this one seemed to have neither. It was really bland. Altogether, the Ramen has been had better elsewhere, and the bao as well. Maybe the kitchen slipped up with the salt this time so I'm giving them four stars and hope for a better experience...
