This tea shop was recommended by Kaspar, a Barista at Black Coffee and Vinyl. Was he spot on. This was our top experience in Copenhagen. Nestled down an alley off a cute little shopping street lies a tea oasis. We were warmly welcomed by the owner's daughter and her team. They were young professionals who guided us through an amazing tea journey. You don't come here for a quick cup but instead, savor the experience, mindfully. We allowed our server to guide our experience. She asked what I like (Genmaicha) and suggested a seasonal Sencha. We smelled the sample bottles and were amazed at the fragrances, so individual and unique. We had two infusions of tea and at the end, our server prepared the remaining leaves with a little soy and toasted rice. We ate with delicate chop sticks. The leaves were lovely. It was a magical experience that got better, moment by moment. By the time we left, the shop was full of Danish people enjoying their lunch break....
Read moreTucked away in a little courtyard this cafe has an incredibly captivating and serene ambiance. I happened to be there at a quieter time and had the most relaxing hour of my day there. Service was exceptional, the man who I am assuming is the owner was deeply engaged in his work and really enthusiastic too. Very kind to accommodate in English, I really appreciate that. The matcha is the main reason I ended up here. The flavor profile was so interesting. Started out very smooth, then a hit of that earthiness, and ending with a slightly bitter nutty taste. Such complexity, and it worked really well with the oat milk. It is the best matcha I have ever had. I think getting a pack from their brand would be a smart move. I asked for a mochi on the side, this soybean mochi was served as well as this cold brewed (?) Korean tea. It was a perfect little tea set and made for a great experience. Would love to be back as soon as I...
Read moreIf you’re a tea lover, Sing Tehus in CPH is a MUST VISIT. The tea shop is charming and cozy with serene ambiance. It was very relaxing and peaceful to sit outside and enjoy a cup of hot tea. The iced matcha latte was umami, smooth and creamy. The mochi complimented the matcha very well. I couldn’t resist the matcha ice cream ( even though it was 10am) and I was glad that I ordered it. The best matcha icecream I’ve had outside of Japan. I also really enjoyed the Shincha (new harvest of spring 2025). Staff also advised me that it could be brewed 3 times, so I asked if I could get a take away cup for the 2nd brew. And he made it happen 😃 It was such a fantastic experience I’ve ever had at a tea house outside of Japan. I’d definitely come back. Highly...
