Came to eat with friends…and it was a horrible experience. We was dealing with the worst waiter. The staff should be trained better when it comes to hospitality. We waited over an hour for the food to come halfway through we asked how long and the waiter gave us attitude and started an argument with a person in our group. The food finally came out and we have had better. The waiter continued with his attitude towards us and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. We asked to speak with a manager and he replied with “she is not here I’m the manager now”. Smh then starts demanding we pay the bill before we get a chance to speak with anyone. He eventually “calls” the manager so we have to wait another 20mins..to then have another couple who was dining there as well..tell us they had horrible service with him too. Some people in our group had to go to the restaurant down the block - since the waiter finally decided to tell us where the person in charge was - to speak to the “manager or owner “. Whoever runs this establishment please look into who you hire as staff. This experience went horrible because of this one waiter..not only did he not communicate well he also had so much attitude towards the guest. I hope something is done with this male waiter. He didn’t want to give us his name and was so combative smh. The group I was with informed the waiter we are all chefs so we understand what happens in the kitchen, we just wish he would have communicated better with us on how long the food would be done and not become so quick to get angry. He was completely unprofessional and he looked like he...
Read moreWe ordered 3 items- Gobi Manchurian (3/5)- it would have been 4.5/5 had the bell peppers were not rotten. All red peppers were rotten and few grew peppers were rotten. Veg biryani (3/5) - more like turmeric rice with carrots, zucchini, beans. Not bad but not biryani. Aaloo paratha (3/5)- looked 5/5 but the flavor was on the plain side.
Overall pretty good taste , other than rotten peppers.
Service: 3/5. 2 point deduction because of the following reason- One waiter came and asked how the food was. I responded that the bell peppers were rotten. He goes inside comes back and says that they weren’t rotten. I had one piece of untouched red bell pepper which I asked him to taste because every single piece of red bell peppers were rotten. He takes it inside saying he will taste it , comes back and says it was good. My response was- “ you are used to eating like that”.
My point is, he came and asked for feedback. If he didn’t want to acknowledge that some food was rotten then he should have not asked. By him saying it was not rotten doesn’t make the food fresh. He basically wanted to prove that I was lying. The norm in food industry is to acknowledge customer feedback and ask if they would want a different dish or waive the price. I wanted neither as I had eaten the entire dish. My feedback was more informational than any demand.
Anyway, I would highly advise to avoid eating here if you are starting your hike. You don’t want to be food poisoned. Otherwise, food flavors were ok. And yes, no point providing...
Read moreWe entered the restaurant and a waiter showed us the way for a table for 2 - me and my wife. We ordered from the Thaki menu. It was a mixture of lamb and chicken pieces and 2 prawns. Roughly in 5 to 10 minutes the food was served. And we started looking at each other especially because of the chicken. We ate, paid and left for the hotel. Just around 2 hours later, my wife started feeling very sick with severe diarrhea and vomiting. That night was a nightmare for her and for me having to stay awake to assist her. I didn’t know what to do except putting some cold water on her face. In the morning we were supposed to leave Chamonix for Cernobbio - a 5 hour drive (Mont Blanc tunnel closed). I helped her into the car and started the drive. After crossing the Swiss border I started to feel the same symptoms. Around an hour later I had to drive to the side of the road for the same reason as my wife. Afterwards I rested in the car for around an hour in order to recover and continue the drive. People pay attention when going to eat and you get the food very early. It can be very dangerous especially in my case being a kidney transplant patient. I am writing this comment to serve as a lesson for the...
