As you may know how much it is hard to find a decent Mexican restaurant not just in Paris, but anywhere. Last week while we were walking and discovering the small streets of the Louvre Area, me and a couple of friends stumbled on this restaurant; we read the menu outside and decided to give it a try. The warm and authentic “décor” gave this place a true feeling; we asked the waiter and told us all the items (sombreros, and paintings …) were original and brought from Mexico. First we started with the Margaritas along with some cheese nachos (Nortenos); mouthwatering indeed and maybe the best compared even to the best bars and nightclubs. We ordered a couple of appetizer (Cheese fondu with chorizo) and shrimps with an Acapulco sauce. Delightful indeed! As for the mains we ordered a Chimichanga (Tortilla stuffed with ground beef, topped with sauce costena), Tacos Al Pastor (Slices of marinated pork, topped with cilantro and onions), and two mixed Fajitas. The ingredients were fresh, tasteful. The dishes were flavored perfectly in order to enjoy the spices and the meats perfectly. Even though the portion were large unlike most of restaurants in Paris, we couldn’t leave without trying the Coco pie (Cake with coconut, a Mexican delicacy) recommended by Toni and Simon; agreeable and very friendly owners who seem to enjoy their work. We ended this night with an espresso. Azteca is a MUST try next time...
Read moreI am writing this as a Mexican-american living in Paris. Located in the center of Paris near the Louvre, the environment, from the place to the music, is authentically mexican and comfortably chill. You can have some real mexican drinks and appetizers while you wait for the delicious food, like in a real cantina.
I ordered carne en nogada and I can tell that its truely delicious and really really mexican. I have not tried a more authentic nogada in the US before and maybe not a more delicious one in Mexico. You can also drink the mexican way here with its cocktails, tequila and beers.
The service by Tony, the waiter and manager is also first class, and he is mexican by the way. He will surely make you feel in Mexico.
PD. Desserts are exquisite, specially the pay de coco, tres leches is made the...

I ordered tacos which had zero onion , zero cilantro, zero cheese, zero salsa Tortilla was just filled up with fajitas. I think they confuse vegetarian with vegan maybe.
Rice were served along with just guacamole and no beans. Rather I would have preferred if the rice and guac were put inside taco.
Maybe I am wrong about mexican food but I haven’t had this plain of a taco before.
Update: Review is a single right and power I have as a customer. If I did not like something, I put it in words. If I felt taco was bland , how else should I put it. It is disappointing when you get defensive instead of reflecting on how you could make it better for next customer. I don’t need advice on visiting other...
