A Parisian Gem in the Heart of Montmartre Nestled in the charming hills of Montmartre, Boulangerie Alexine is a must-visit for any bakery enthusiast in Paris. We stumbled upon this gem during our lunch explorations and were instantly captivated by its warm aroma and inviting atmosphere.

A Feast for the Senses:

Stepping inside Boulangerie Alexine is like entering a wonderland of freshly baked delights. Crusty baguettes, glistening pastries, and colorful quiches line the glass display, each tempting you with its delicate beauty. The air is filled with the intoxicating scent of butter and sugar, a symphony that awakens the appetite.

Lunchtime Delights:

We opted for a classic Parisian lunch, choosing the Jambon-Beurre sandwich and a decadent chocolate Ă©clair. The sandwich was a revelation – crusty bread layered with generous slices of buttery ham and tangy Dijon mustard. Each bite was a perfect balance of textures and flavors, a true testament to the quality of their ingredients.

The chocolate éclair was equally divine. The pastry was light and flaky, encasing a rich, creamy custard that burst with chocolatey goodness. Each bite was a delightful dance on the taste buds, leaving me wanting more.

My husband, ever the gourmand, was equally impressed with his choice. He opted for the chicken salad sandwich and a tarte tatin. The salad was a delightful surprise, packed with flavorful chunks of chicken and a tangy vinaigrette that perfectly complemented the fresh bread. And the tarte tatin? A masterpiece of caramelized apples nestled in a buttery crust, each bite a warm, gooey comfort.

Service with a Smile:

Despite the bustling lunchtime crowd, the staff at Boulangerie Alexine were incredibly friendly and patient. Our limited French was met with gentle smiles and helpful suggestions. They took the time to explain the different pastries and even offered recommendations based on our preferences.

The Verdict:

Boulangerie Alexine is more than just a bakery; it's a Parisian experience. It's the aroma of freshly baked bread, the warmth of friendly service, and the pure joy of indulging in simple, delicious food. Whether you're a seasoned gourmand or a casual bakery enthusiast, this charming Montmartre gem is sure to leave you wanting...

Most of the world has participated in the war on drugs. Drugs that are highly addictive are illegal or controlled in most countries. I can understand why because if someone becomes addicted they will do anything to get another fix. This is how I feel about Boulangerie Alexine. I went in for a taste because everyday we passed by there was a line out the door. We decided to try the flan avec abricot and the tart citron. That was enough to get me hooked. We went back for the nutella tart, the flan nature and more. Now I'm back in the USA trying to figure out how to get back to Alexine. I'm selling all my stuff to make money to get another fix. I need you Boulangerie Alexine!!...

Maybe it's been said that this place has the fourth greatest baguettes in all of Paris. So we went there, because we are the fourth best kind of people, definitely not ready for the top three. We got a sandwich to share, baguette of course, and some long pizza dough thing. The pizza dough wasn't so impressive but that sandwich, oh. If this is the fourth best then I'm satisfied with never being the best. We sat on the bank of the Seine and sank our sharp teeth into this heavenly made baguette with its juicy chicken and that's when I knew deep down that all's right with...

There was a line out front and for good reason. I chose the pastrami sandwich and was rewarded for it. Soft bread with crunchy crust layered in three with meat, pickles, cucumbers, and sauce. Simple and delicious. Those I were with enjoyed their quiche, custard, and other treats. The best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had; and not that I’m some pastrami sandwich connoisseur. Would eat it every day for lunch if I could tho. 😋

Super cute hidden gem!! Seems to be loved my locals as there was a long line but it moves quick! All the pastries and bread-based treats looked and smelled amazing!! Got a croissant and it was super buttery and flaky. I’ve had better croissants but this one is deff worth the trip up and can visit while coming to MontMartre. I wish I had a chance to try more of their goodies but highly recommend!!
