The main reason for my five star review is that, in my humble opinion, this place serves the best espresso we've tried during our week in Paris. The manager says he's meticulous with the machine's upkeep. I'd say it's true because the coffee doesn't taste like it has residual tanins. It's strong and smooth. We returned on our final day in Paris just for the espresso.
The food we tried from the menu: a cheeseburger, a chicken cutlet, a smoked salmon, croissant, a Nutella crepe and a strawberry crepe were good but not memorable. Of course, our food choices were pretty standard, but so is the menu.
We arrived here without a recommendation, after deciding to skip the highly popular sandwich shop down the block. It was an emergency meal since we were starving (especially our teenaged son), which can be dangerous when traveling.
