We stopped in after 21:00 and was offered a table at their outdoor platform, which was very narrow and actually dangerous. We were warned by the hostess to be careful with the chair on the outside (2-3" clearance from the edge) and not to fall off the raised platform. We started with cocktails and an appetizer. The table of 4 next to us were also from the U.S. and we chatted a bit. While we were waiting for our quail and rabbit entree, the table on the other side of them, the man sitting on the outside chair fell on the ground!?!?! sending a domino effect of wine and water bottles and glasses, tipping towards our table (we were all sitting on a slight downhill slant too). The staff had no idea this poor man fell. We all caught the dominos!?!?! My husband and I had a bit to drink, and I didn't want him to fall too when we were ready to leave so I went behind him and pushed up against him so the chair and he wouldn't end up on the sidewalk. It's a shame what happened to the other senior age man. There's no way this was a first time fall. Sorry to detract from the nice staff, great food and drink. Senior should not use the outside tables. By the way, the establishment next door has "rails" behind the outside seats to keep people from pushing back too far and falling off the platform. Read moreI went to this restaurant with my partner on Monday night and it was one of the best meals we had whilst visiting Paris!
There were only 2 waitresses working and the restaurant was full all night but they were extremely attentive and very friendly. As we we ran into the restaurant due to a downpour we were welcomed and although tried my best at French the waitress was happy to point us to our seat and exchange pleasantries in English which was appreciated!
I had the lamb which was amazing and my partner had 2 starters as opposed to a starter and a main which was no problem at all. The only complaint was a slightly longer than normal wait for food however the waitress acknowledged this and offered us a drink as an apology which was appreciated.
It was very bustling but cosy atmosphere and excellent service paired with excellent food to match. If i find myself in Paris again I will be...

I spend a great deal of time assuring potential travelers to France, that the French are not inherently rude, nor are they unwelcoming people. Sadly, this quaint little restaurant certainly did not go out of its way to make even the tiniest effort to welcome us, or the quartet of Americans at the table next to us. Not a whisper of a smile, every avoidance of eye contact, and as little effort possible into our interactions.
What an unfortunate feeling unwelcomeness is, whilst trying to enjoy beautiful food. And since there are so many restaurants here, with friendly staff to help us, we likely won't be returning here.
French patrons only need apply. How...
