This hotel was very pricey when comparing to what it offers so just as a heads up for possible customers, I’ll give some pros and cons from as objective a view as possible.
Pros: Location is perfect, just in the centre of the city. Nearest boulangerie is maybe 200m away and there’s a lot of restaurants nearby and most of the main attractions are close by as is the nearest metro station. Staff was friendly and spoke enough English
Cons: The room was small, but that’s Paris for you. Room wasn’t cleaned properly. There was dust and trash on the floor when we arrived and the mattresses were in poor condition, rasing suspicion about possible bugs, but we saw none and didn’t get any bites. Fire safety is not great, but that is probably also a Paris problem. Very narrow corridors and no ladders in a building made mostly out of wood. The toilet “door” doesn’t offer much privacy. All sounds will pass through. Shower is located in the bathtub and there’s no way to prevent water splashing everywhere. Breakfast was very poor for the price, I’d definitely recommend to eat in one of the boulangeries nearby instead. There’s a restaurant just next to the hotel so the street side rooms are noisy in the evening, but I slept well with earplugs.
Overall I’d say that with this hotel you pay for the privilege of being very close to Notre Dame as the name implies. Pantheon is also very close and louvre is within 2,5km walk and can easily be reached by the metro as with everything else in Paris centre, so the location...
Read moreVery chic, but quaint hotel at reasonable price! In a great location for walking all many points of interest for travelers, within 5 minute walk to Notre Dame and the Seine, and lots of great restaurants nearby, including a great Patisserie with amazing breakfast croissants! Very close to 2 open air pop-up markets, if you're there over a weekend! Several metro stations within a few minutes walk, and great shopping at unique and high-end stores withing 5-10 minutes walk. Hotel is in one of the safer districts, if you are travelling alone; and the ladies at the front desk staff is very helpful. They offer a continental breakfast down in a quaint breakfast are near lobby for ~10€, and there's a small fitness center downstairs from the lobby. This hotel is tucked away in a little side street and looks more like a boutique shop from the exterior, so can be easy to miss...but any taxi or Uber will get you to front door drop off easily.
As with most hotels in Paris, don't expect US size room accommodations, all the rooms are very small, but appropriate for the area. I found the rooms here to be very clean, comfortable, and pleasant - nice large wilnfiws that fully open to the street, which again, is a fairly quiet since it's just off the main streets. WiFi is offered and is free.
I would stay here again...whether travelling for business or pleasure. Price for proximity to central Paris...
Read moreCheck-in: Cute little hotel facade. Roomy lobby. Helpful staff.||Elevator: Fits 4 people max without bags, tight fit.||Standard Double Bed Room: Narrow hallway from the door to the bed. Big mirror wall does nothing to make the room bigger. Bedroom is tight, but ok.||Bathroom: Design nightmare. The toilet is really tucked away, the sink is fairly accessible. The shower door, literally, opens as wide as a Mens 10.5 shoe and yes I actually had to suck in my gut to fit. The shower once inside has consistent temperature and pressure and it fairly roomy, if you can get inside.||During booking there was no option to book a bathtub, but the specs for all rooms include one. This room is SHOWER ONLY. I specifically booked this hotel because the pictures and advertisements indicated a bathtub in every room and looked spacious.||Internet: the wi-fi is spotty and sucks. They need to update the network name to match the card they give you at reception.||View: You can see Notre Dame from the room, which is pretty cool.||Feedback: the shower door could open into the hallway and be able to functionally and easily allow anyone into the shower. Why the door only opens 1 foot and hits the sink is a structural and design flaw that can be easily remedied. Website and affiliated websites need more pictures to...
