The dining experience at this establishment was marred by excessive pricing and inconsistent service.
Despite being seated at a large table with over 15 guests, we were forced to order a €90 menu, despite the fact that the sum of the most expensive items on the menu amounted to only €78.
Furthermore, we were obligated to purchase a €15 small and cheap champagne glass, which further contributed to the overall cost of our meal. The restaurant’s pricing strategy was questionable, as the mandatory €90 menu was significantly more expensive than the €35 main course requirement for normal guest upon entry.
The small size of the dining area resulted in a situation where the space became a dance floor while others were still dining.
The owner was courteous and accommodating, but he was unable to address the numerous issues that we encountered.
It is challenging to find establishments that consistently provide exceptional service and high-quality food. This particular restaurant FAILED to meet these expectations.
The justification for the high prices was inadequate. It was unjustifiable to force a table of over 15 guests to purchase a fixed-price menu that exceeded the cost of selecting the most expensive items on the menu. Typically, a discount should be offered for guaranteed sales, as there are only two rounds services.
The food itself was of satisfactory quality, with the exception of the desserts. The portion sizes were inconsistent, with the person seated next to me receiving a significantly larger steak than mine. We found this disparity amusing and questioned why we were paying the same price as they were receiving twice the portion.
The waiter attempted to justify the pricing by stating that the portion sizes were determined by the way the steaks were cut in the kitchen.
However, we pointed out that the size of the steaks was directly proportional to the amount of meat they contained. We suggested that the chef was cutting the steaks incorrectly, resulting in hilariously uneven portions. One plate had two steaks while the other...
Read moreAlthough the service was really good, the staff was courteous and nice, the vibe of the place wasn't all that. It was supposed to be festive, but the dj didn't really lit the place up. I don't know if we came at a wrong time, a few days before new year but me and my friend were disappointed. As for the food, my friend liked her dish and the portion was generous. She ordered the filet de turbot. I on the other hand, wasn't very satisfied with my entrecôte considering the price of it (42 euros). The meat was good and tender but more à point than saignant while I ordered saignant. That wasn't really the main issue cause the meat was still tender and good. It's the polenta that really ruined it for me. The thing was really dry with no taste. My friend tasted it and shared my opinion. It's a pity to pay as much for the food and have neither excellence in quality nor at least a good vibe to compensate. If I had paid less than 30 euros on the plate I wouldn't be nagging but the experience overall on that night was overpriced for...
Read moreMy husband and I are visiting from Canada, and absolutely loved Ouistiti! Everything about this restaurant was amazing. The atmosphere was a great vibe, everyone who was eating here was loving the live music. We tried two appetizers, the crab and the veal tartare, and our entrees were the octopus and the risotto. Everything was so delicious, we ate every bite. We regretted ordering only one dessert to share - once we tried the cheesecake we wished we’d ordered two! The service was beyond amazing. Anytime we needed anything the servers checked in, and were so friendly. This was the best restaurant by far that we visited on our trip to Paris. I wish we weren’t leaving tomorrow so we...
