Le Saint-Amour — Restaurant in Paris

We ordered a ribsteak and a tartare to the asian looking waiter. The waiter asked me the tartare is a raw beef is it ok?, in some way maybe I looked like a fool who doesn’t know what he’s ordering. And my girlfriend ordered a steak with medium cooked. Handcut Tartare was ok. Not excellent not terrible. The photo down is what she’s got. We asked, is this medium? Cause it’s not and it seems like well done or medium well. The other waiter took it to downstairs and came up, telling me that it is medium. And the waiter who took the order came and said this is medium outside is little hard and inside is with the juice. But ordering medium meaning we are definitely not expecting the meat to be like that. We didn’t want to argue so we just kept eating. My girlfriend didn’t finish the steak, no one asking how was it or was everything satisfactory.

Not a pleasant experience, not worth for the money. Place to be avoided...

Bait and switch with the formules. Sign was still up prior to entering. Upon receiving the menu and even asked about the special. I was told it’s no longer available, yet that sign remained up during my entire meal. I had a starter the tomato mozzarella with truffle. Truffle was overpowered by the olive oil so no truer taste of it. It felt like they killed the duck the amount of time waiting, by the time I received my main it was less than warm. There was definetly a distinction from native and non-native french speakers. After ordering, we were informed after a while, that the item was out. Then we came up with an alternative relatively quick - which was obviously forgotten because the waiter asked us after another ~ 10 min. All in all it took us about 50min to get served, which did not happen to the table right next to us, who came after us and was after half an hour done with eating. The waiter was oblivious of any continouity except for the reoccurence of his fake smile. The food was alright but for the given price that would be expected.
