The rudest staff!!!

If you want to experience the horrible service, Visit this place.

We were forced to buy a bottle of water for 7.50 saying it’s for kids safety as they may choke. Billed 8 EUR out of nowhere, reason was as we shared a pizza. The waiter who attended us never mentioned that we have to order 1 dish per person. When we told the manager this should have mentioned to us when we ordered, he said it’s mentioned on the menu which I showed the menu that it isn’t. At the end he said we are short staffed.

We did pay the bill without any fuss but as a customer I did make a point that they should have been fair by mentioning when we ordered rather than telling lies after lies when we spoke to the manager.

Response to the manager as I don’t see show to reply:

My only complaint was that your waiter should have told this in the beginning when we entered your restaurant. Instead your waiter kept making personal comments on my kids, how come I don’t know French and I can keep on going about the personal comments he made. Perhaps train your waiter to give relevant info rather than make personal comments. We came to your restaurant because my son wanted to eat pizza but not us. While watinf he forced us to try the pizza and that’s how we as parents just shared each slice with him.

Maybe change your language of making personal comments n stick...

First off, the restaurant was very warm so we chose to sit outside, however, the sun was very strong. So, my partner sat next to me to get out of the sun; then the (what looked like) manager approached us saying he needed to move back so the table next to us could have room to be seated at (there was room). I expressed he couldn’t see because of the sun and instead of the manager extending the sun shade above us, he shrugged us off.

Second, we ordered two Pepsi Colas (not diet) but the waitress served us diet either way. I asked for regular, which we received, but it was extremely flat — so I sent that back.

Thirdly, the pasta special was Lasagne Bolognese priced at 16.50€, I ordered it. Not worthy of even 5€. It was that bad. There was no sauce, it lacked flavor, and to top it off it was cold. The pizza was actually good, so I’ll give them that, maybe I should’ve played it safe with a pizza (but I still think it was a bit overpriced, too).

Overall, mediocre staff and food which was overpriced for its own good. Their current rating...

Overall an okay place to eat! The prices are affordable, the portion sizes were good as well. Me and my friend ordered a glass of white and rose and we were both really happy with it! Tasted delicious, it was cold and refreshing (in the 28 degree heat!).

However, we both ordered a burger - my friend had the chicken burger and she said it was quite dry, I had the cheese burger and if we weren't given mustard and ketchup on the side, it wouldn't really have any flavour - the patty was huge so all you could taste was the meat unfortunately.

The staff were really friendly and all spoke English but the service was really slow - we waited for like 20 mins for someone to come and take our order and when we finished and our plates were cleared, no one came up to ask if we wanted to order something else or to pay. When we finally caught the attention of one of the staff and asked for the bill, we waited another 10 mins until we eventually had to get up and go up to the counter to pay, otherwise who knows how long we'd...

While this place fancies itself a cross between Italian and Brooklyn pizza, I don't think it quite nailed the essence of either. Our pizza was good, but not great and the experience was a bit undone by the uneven and amateurish service at times. Our daughter waited about 15 minutes for a side of simple marinara sauce due to some poor communication, and were charged $9 for a large bottle of water when we requested a carafe of tap water. In the end, the pizza was good enough to merit 4 stars, but service was poor enough that we wouldn't return. Reply to the owner: I never said the water sale was forced, please read what I wrote. I said we requested a carafe of tap water and saw later on the bill as we were leaving that we were charged for the water. At that point, we just wanted to leave and not try to sort it out, given how difficult it was just to get a side of marinara sauce and the miscommunication there as well.

In general, a nice place to have a drink or something casual to eat. The focaccia was tasty and the ice cream OK. The wine could have been a bit more chilled, not the best temperature, but that wasn't a big deal. The staff was friendly and they all spoke English. I have deducted 1,5 stars for the following reasons: 1. There was only one toilet for both men and women. That sucks in my opinion. Obviously with this high amount of people using it, it wasn't clean. The button to flush the toilet was missing. 2. The service was in slow. It took quite some time to get us served but the worst case was a couple of lads sitting next to us who had ordered Gin Tonic and got served by the manager (or owner) himself after 20 mins. Prices were OK for Paris. 3,5 stars, they should improve on the service time.
