DISGUSTING SERVICE : THE RESTAURANT STAFF (BOTH OLD LADY AND OLD MAN) ARE EXTREMELY UNWELCOMING. PLEASE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT
I was on a tour to Paris with my family. While visiting Eiffel tower, we thought of eating Lebanese food nearby. We were UNFORTUNATE that we ended up in this restaurant.
Upon entrance, we saw that there are many tables available to sit. I thought may be it is a good idea to ask them about the table. They said to wait in an UNWELCOMING manner, set a table for another client who came after us.
While they give us a table and took the order, I told the lady that we are thirsty and need water. Surprisingly, she took the order and started talking to another guy. After sometime, while the lady serves someone else and returned, I asked for water again. She brought it with AN ANGRY FACE.
The rest of the food was fine except that the chicken was burnt. I ordered extra fries and it costed me 5€, SERIOUSLY!!!
The restaurant has an electronic register and they were giving printed receipts to the clients. I went to the same lady (at this time, she was standing on reception) and asked for the BILL. She wrote it on a PIECE OF PAPER and showed me. I said, I want to pay by card and she looked at me as if I asked for BOTH HER KIDNEYS. With AN ANGRY FACE, she presented me the machine, I paid, she took the HAND-WRITTEN RECEIPT and THREW it in the bin. HONESTLY, HOW MUCH MONEY CAN YOU SAVE UNDECLARED TO TAX AUTHORITIES...
Read moreThis is one of the VERY rare times I write a review even for a disappointing restaurant… but this time, i just had to. My boyfriend and I went there to eat. At our entrance, the waiter didn’t bother usher us to a table, he just randomly pointed at one and told us to sit there. After checking the menu, we ordered one platter and It was clearly stated that any platter is served with a side of fries. The server served us the food and we started eating expecting the fries to follow thereafter… they didnt. So we called onto the waiter and asked him: aren’t all platters served with fries? He said, yes. So we said can we have our fries please? So He got us the rest of the order. as we asked for the bill, we were shocked to see that they had added a supplementary platter or fries. Apparently, it had previously occurred with my boyfriend and his friends. But seriously, how cheap is it to make people pay an extra 5 euros? Your restaurant’s name and your own dignity are on the line...
Read moreGood food, pleasant atmosphere. My only criticism is that if you order "water", you may get an expensive bottle of Evian. Something told me to check after he went to get my water and I got him exactly before he opened it. You'll want to ask for "dell oh", it means water, but he'll know you mean tap water, which is very drinkable all over France. I did have a good meal, the lentil soup was delicious. So you can eat well and for a reasonable price, but you do need to just know the tricks. We saw a rustic couple get coffee, water and something small and stay there as looking as we did, so it's what the locals do. It's...
