Avobowl — Restaurant in Strasbourg

We came cross this healthy looking restaurant and really wanted to try it out. The food looks very delicious, but the taste was surprisingly really disappointing.

We ordered the lebanon bowl and tiger beef bowl. It was a lot of food, but without any dressing or sauce for both. I had mashed Avocado in my lebanon bowl (which is not a sauce but an ingredient) and it had some oil, salt and pepper, but no dressing or anything. So I was really eating greens with quinoa but without any taste! The bowl was very large, so I also didn't finish it. The tiger bowl tasted way better, but also there was no sauce or dressing. Just the oil from the meat or so. I don't understand the good reviews and wouldn't come again for sure. The service didn't ask whether we liked it or not and we just paid and left.

What a nice surprise on my way home! I was not even supposed to have dinner outside but I was walking through the street and saw this place and suddenly craved a salmon poke bowl. I usually don't change my all time salmon-avovado-mango-edamane combination but this time I decided to try their own salmon poke bowl. It was absolutely delicious. Tasty, well seasoned, fresh, and beautifully presented. I asked for some extra soja sauce but this is my personal taste. I loved the small crispy wasabi balls on top. This is one of the sweetest places in Strasbourg, we had a very pleasant experience. The hostess was so kind, she went through the French menu with me and helped me read it. My mom and I were hoping to get Halal options however at the time they did not have it. The hostess and the kitchen made their best efforts to provide us with healthy and delicious alternatives. We ordered the Avotoast Lebanon Lovers, Salmon Bowl, and Rose-flavored lemonade. The restaurant gave us complimentary soup as we were cold.
