LÉONOR Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Strasbourg

We went there to enjoy their breakfast. The cold buffet was nice but the hot one very limited in choices. It was just scrambled eggs bacon potatoes and mushroom. So very disappointing for a luxury hotel. The waitress asked us how it was at the end and I told her the buffet was disappointing, we were expecting to have at least a the choice of ordering a hot dish. She replied you could. But unfortunately no one had asked us nor was it written on the menu. She apologies and left. A few minutes later another person came (I am assuming the manager ). She asked us again the situation. She replied we should have waved at waiters to ask for the hot dish (impossible since we couldn’t know that it was an option). Then said we should have reserved it wouldn’t have had happened and they would have advised to not come at 9:45 for better service. We did reserve and nothing was said. A little advise when you make a mistake just say sorry and DO NOT SAY Sorry BUT … sorry does not come with BUT. It is just sorry. Overall experience was amazing. Keep in mind that it is not a fast food restaurant and I don’t have anything against fast food. But here you take your time.

The staff was very professional and calm, they radiated a really nice warm energy. Many times in a venues like this the staff is cold and afraid of making any mistake, and in the end you feel uncomfortable. Here is the opposite, everybody is very professional, friendly and very calm. It’s quite contagious in a good way. I arrived energized and wanted my food right away but instead I relaxed and had an amazing time.

In general, the food was delicious. But prices are not really corresponding… definitely,overpriced menu. For a such level of restaurant, I would expect at least some kind of service.. and welcome appetizer/amuse buche/. Unfortunately, this was not offered. Bread we got upon request.
