I recently dined at this charming establishment, drawn in by its warm ambiance and a delightful homemade menu. I opted for the Roesti Paysan—a mouthwatering blend of sliced potatoes, bacon, cream, smoked ham, emmental, and a perfectly cooked egg. The flavors melded seamlessly, creating a hearty and satisfying dish.

My friend enjoyed the Jarret de Porc braisé, accompanied by Choucroute and steamed potatoes. The braised pork shank was tender, and the sauerkraut added a tangy twist that complemented the dish perfectly.

As for the sides, both the green salad and tomato salad were fresh and crisp, providing a refreshing contrast to the rich main courses. The attention to detail in the presentation was evident, showcasing a commitment to quality.

To accompany our meal, we indulged in the festive beers, and they were indeed a highlight. The unique flavors added a celebratory touch to our dining experience. I highly recommend trying these beers; they're a delightful complement to the already impressive menu.

Overall, the lovely atmosphere, coupled with the delicious homemade offerings and festive beers, made for an enjoyable dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu and savoring the welcoming...

Rosti was watery and bland. Had to put a lot of salt to make it taste like cooked food. Noticed others doing the same.

The onion soup tasted like instant soup and had tiny cubed onions like they were instant onions from a packet.

The bread in the basked tasted old and stale like it was cut in the morning.

Steak was also without seasoning. They dont have salt or pepper shakers but little packets, and the first holder of packets the server gave me was wet and had no salt left. I asked for a new one, and there was only one salt packet left in that one. Probably because of how bland everything tasted and everyone needing...

We arrived around 6:30 PM and snagged the last table just before the line got crazy. Started with the green and tomato salads – not mind-blowing, but decent.

Now, for the real deal – I went for the braised pork shank with sauerkraut, and my friend dug into the roesti paysan. Seriously, that pork was something else! Even my friend, not big on pork, couldn't get enough. Top-notch flavors all around.

Washed it down with the festive beer served in a boot glass – cute and surprisingly refreshing. Total win!

Definitely recommend for a chill evening, great food, and those standout dishes that make you want to come...

I was in Strasbourg for a short visit in Feb. Cold and windy. I was so hungry but wanted to go somewhere not as crowded. I found this restaurant in the alleys and walked in not knowing vaccinations and other things. They checked my vaccination card and let me sit in. I spoke no French but the ladies were very accommodating and introduced me to a meat dish with vegetables. I said yes. It was very delicious. I finished the whole pot. The wine was also very good!!! Thank you very much for being so kind to a stranger!

Nosotros no hablamos francés, solo español e inglés.

Tried the traditional Tarte Flambée (thin pizza) & Jarrett de Porte braisé sauce Munster (braised pork shank). The pizza was light and night. The shank was quite tender and fell off of the bone. The shank had reasonable flavor, but the sauce (a light, water cheese) was definitely nice addition for extra flavor in small amounts. The fries were crispy but fairly middle of the road. Always impressed by the staff here being able to speaking several languages.
