Yacht Club — Restaurant in Torcy

We went to the Yacht Club for my daughters 30th birthday - pre-booked a table some time ago. Very disappointed. The reception was poor - after we had been given a ticket by the front desk, you proceed down a roped off line and wait to be met by a waitress who didnt acknowledge we were even there as I handed over the ticket - not even a "hello" or "bonjour". Once she checked the ticket it became obvious no table had been set for 5 people as booked, they tried to shuffle a table for 2 around on a corner so we would be stuck out - very poor. I said we were not prepared to sit there so they went to a table by the serving hatch and set this up for 5. The waiter, Mike, was very friendly and tried his best but it took ages to order drinks and when they came 2 of them were wrong - they could get a Kia Royal correct despite charging 18 euros for it! They changed them when pointed out. The starters came which were ok although some of the shells on my mussels dish were cold which was a concern and most were empty. The main courses arrived and 2 of the tempura fish dishes were undercooked - mine quite badly. I pointed this out to Mike and i had eaten some so was not hungry for another one so he said he would let the chef know - how they do not know how to cook a simple cod in breadcrumb is remarkable but they got 2 our of 3 wrong. There was a nice birthday song for my daughter with a cake that cost 35 euros but I would say it was the best part of the meal. No manager apologies for the service levels and undercooked fish, no compensation off the bill which came to 385 euros for a very average meal. Have been staying at the Newport Bay hotel at Disney the past few nights. Dinner at the Yacht Club has, so far, been the worst of our experiences (the only negative one).

Service was painfully slow. We walked in and had a 5 min wait to be seen. We were then told we needed to check in at the desk before the restaurant. We walked back to meet the girl at the desk, who seemed completely disinterested and who had just allowed us to walk in 5 mins before. After checking in it was another 5 min wait before the woman who had just sent us to the desk returned to seat us. Extreme waits followed every step of the way from then on.

Food was good, but not spectacular, and seemed as though some of it had been waiting to be served for too long (e.g. carrots that were dry and shriveled).

A terrible dinning experience. 2 hours for a 3 course meal with children is too much and service should have been far better in a restaurant that was by no means full. Have only given 2 stars because the food...

Looked at the menu and thought 'Wow a 43euro steak, that's going to be awesome'! After ordering and eating only the steak I feel cheated...

First of all the steak was 'ok', just 'ok'.

They promise roasted veggies and roasted potatoes but the veggies weren't roasted at all. Its cut onion, carrot and courgette they boiled in water without seasoning it. It was absolutely tasteless...

I received 4 small tiny potatoes and they were also boiled! Not roasted! Flat taste!

And last but not least was the peppersauce... it was brown water, no taste, no pepper seen or tasted. It looked and tasted like the powder you buy in the store. And I remember those having more taste than this. So how good can everything be when you can't even cook peppersauce?

Most of the time i dont mind the sides aslong as the steak is good but the problem is that the steak is not awesome. It's just 'ok'.

I don't mind paying for quality but this feels like a really really...
