Avoid this tourist trap place
I recently had the misfortune of visiting a restaurant that promised a delightful dining experience but delivered nothing short of disappointment. this establishment claimed to offer delicious Italian cuisine, but our visit left us with a bitter taste in our mouths—both figuratively and literally.
We decided to try their supposedly simple yet classic spaghetti dishes: one with seafood and the other with tomato and cheese. Unfortunately, both dishes were a complete letdown. The seafood spaghetti was an unappetizing mess, with a pungent aroma that hinted at the use of expired ingredients. The seafood itself was overcooked and rubbery, lacking any hint of freshness. The tomato and cheese spaghetti fared no better; the sauce tasted like a concoction made from canned tomatoes well past their expiration date. It was a struggle to take more than a few bites.
The overall quality of the food was shockingly poor, to say the least. The lack of care and attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our meal. The presentation was sloppy, and the flavors were bland, leaving us with no desire to finish our plates. In fact, we were so dissatisfied that we left most of our food untouched.
To add insult to injury, the exorbitant price we paid for this subpar dining experience was outrageous. We were charged over 100 laris (gel) for two unsatisfactory plates of spaghetti. Such a hefty price tag is simply unjustifiable for the dismal quality of food we received. It became abundantly clear that this restaurant is nothing more than a tourist trap, preying on unsuspecting visitors who are seeking a taste of authentic cuisine.
Aside from the lackluster food and unreasonable prices, the service was also subpar. The waitstaff appeared disinterested and inattentive, paying little attention to our needs. It seemed as if they were more focused on rushing through the motions rather than providing a pleasant dining experience.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. The spaghetti dishes we ordered were far from the promised flavors of Italy, instead offering a sad imitation of what should have been a simple and enjoyable meal. The overall experience was marred by lackluster food, exorbitant prices, and indifferent service. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out other dining options that truly value quality and customer...
Read moreA disaster
This restaurant is to be avoided at all costs, our experience was disastrous and here's why. First of all, the service was chaotic. We waited an hour for our food to arrive. When, after 45 minutes, we wanted to ask what was going on, the waitress avoided us and we had to stand up to get information. She told us 10 minutes, his colleague 5... After 10 minutes, almost an hour's wait, just as we were about to leave, the waitress finally showed us a dish that was about to be served. In the end it was another dish that was served first, while two others were cooling on the counter. The dishes arrived more or less hot. We would like to point out that other customers complained and that no other table was served. It's unprofessional not to warn customers that the kitchen is running late, and even worse not to apologise. On top of this chaotic service, the food was of no interest: overcooked salmon, a typical dish that was nothing special. 1 hour for four very basic dishes. Do not trust what you might catch on google. The worst thing was the price, because we hadn't realised that the prices were exclusive of tax and that we had to add 18%. A rip-off. We pointed this out to the waiter as it was the first time in 10 days of travelling in Georgia that we had seen that the prices were exclusive of tax. Not to be confused with the extra service. It cost us just as much as another restaurant in the same neighborhood, with 2 deserts. This restaurant lacks honesty...
Read moreMy first visit here was pleasant (hence two stars) but I think that was down to our highly professional waitress. Efficient, friendly and bilingual.
The second was a car crash! The lovely waitress was not working...but we thought OK it was good last time so we ordered breakfast.
Placing our small order was a marathon effort (this was a red flag for me) 30 mins later our coffee arrived and that was cold. Omelettes arrived burnt (genuinely crispy) after 50 mins and my sons orders took over 1.5 hours.
I walked out! My family stayed (stiff upper lip) This place was totally disorganised, obvious unexperienced staff, clear prioritisation of other nationalities, awful food, dreadful place.
Would highly suggest a huge body swerve as you approach Corner By Eleven - there are much better places in Tiblisi that offer good service, good food and good value...
