I will try to give a full honest review: The restaurant was very busy. At first, we were told at the front that there were no free tables, but I did see some tables that just needed to be cleared, so I asked if we can wait for one of those tables. The person went in and checked and told us we can sit at one inside after a few mins. The ambiance is Georgian / American sports bar. With a lot of guests, very busy. I did see some people complaining that servers dont smile - but we were lucky to be served by Nika, and he was very kind and smiled alot with us. We ordered 6 items, Nika suggested a 7th as it was already ready, and we'd be able to get it right away. We were all hungry, so why not ) Five of our dishes came out quite quickly. They were very delicious, hot, and good sized portions. Unfortunately, after we finished them, we still had not had our salad, or fried sulguni. When asking Nika to check, he told us that he did put in our full order, but the kitchen did not start to make our last dishes yet. We told him to please ask for those to be made. When we did receive the last two items, the "Bernard Salad" we received was drenched in the dressing. So much so that the lettuce was wilted from it, and the salad only tasted like the dressing. From the menu photo, I saw that there should be cheese or some dressing on top of the salad - but I never expected that much would be added throughout to the point that what should be a light, healthy salad feels heavy to eat. Nika asked the manager if it could be comped, but the manager refused. I asked to speak to her directly - and explained that we were really disappointed with this because the kitchen forgot to make it even though salads usually come first, and after waiting extra time for it, it is a let down to have to pay for a salad that none of us want to eat. After some back and forth of her saying she will not take it off the bill because that is the normal way the salad is made, she finally agreed to comp the dish. Anyways, after this, we ordered some alcohol, had a great time and went on our way. A big thank-you to our server Nika, who was very attentive and hospitable despite having a lot of tables to cover. My suggestion for customers - ask for light dressing with the salad, or to have it on the side. We fully enjoyed the beef pancakes, chicken pancakes, chicken mtsvadi, lobio, mexican potatoes, and fried sulguni. The prices are very affordable, and there is a 10 or 12 percent...
Read moreMy very last experience in this place disgusted me to the core and I would never visit this place again. It was quite a busy day and me and my partner was waiting for a table to be vacant and after confirming with one of the waiters we sat on a table on the first floor. And the manager named Maya started screaming at us on top of her lungs, from the ground floor asking us to move back to a smaller table as she has the this bigger table booked for a larger group. I was shocked and embarrassed at the same time. Till today I did not understand as to why she had to scream at us from all the way down instead of coming to the tanle and asking us to move to a smaller table. She was shouting at us as if we were two kids and the whole restaurant could hear her as she was screaming from one floor below. We would never hesitate to give the bigger table for a larger groups if she had asked politely. Nevertheless we moved quietly and walked out of the resturant with such embarrassment. I have never been treated in a more disgusting and disrespectful way in my entire life. After my partner approched her to ask the reasom for her aggressive behaviour towards us she walked away saying " I didn't shout" with no apology whatsoever. This had to be the worst experience for me at a restaurant. I have been visiting tbilisi as a tourist on a monthly basis and I always visit this place couple of times a month. It has been my favourite for past one year and my partner has been visiting this place for years and has been bringing his friends, family and even his work clients to this place. Never again!!! And watch out for this rude, impolite and disgraceful woman named maya working as the manager at the resturant. My kind suggestion to the management of this place, God knows how many customer you have lost thanks to one...
Read moreIf you value your time, go somewhere else. Service is very unprofessional! Part of our group of 10 people waited for 2h for their food to arrive. The rest of the dishes arrived at random times, some with over 1h waiting. The waiter taking away dishes dirtied my dress and didn't even apologise, saying he will give me money for a new dress. Seriously?! Education? Service? Haha!
When asking about the ingredients of one salad the waiter said it only contained the main ingredient (even though in the picture it was obvious there were many vegetables and other unclear stuff, that's why we asked, he either had no idea or didn't want to make the effort explaining them). The cocktails were watery and alcohol was to be found with a lot of imagination, but I guess it was expected since they were quite cheap. Asking for the desserts, they didn't have most of them.
Prices in the menu apparently didn't include 12% tax (not service according to the personnel explanation of the ticket in Georgian), which is another point of confusion and inconvenience. And we wouldn't have minded paying the extra if they actually deserved it. We paid it anyway. Eventually after speaking with the personnel various times, they discounted some amount for the 2 dishes that arrived with biggest delay, but our experience was already spoiled. They could have handled the service and delays a lot better overall. Food, when it eventually arrived was ok, nothing exceptional. The best side of this place is the centric location, but hardly worth repeating, at least...
