Zazanova Salon Restaurant — Restaurant in Tbilisi

Such a disappointment, I wouldn't recommend visiting!

I came by after reading great reviews and expected to have a nice dinner, but that wasn’t the case. The only thing I liked was the service. Both waitresses were friendly, spoke English well, and checked in promptly which is rare in Tbilisi. A band started playing shortly after a few tables were occupied, they were really into it which was nice to witness.

Now, let's go over the cons: The garden salad (which is the standard Georgian salad) was a huge miss. It had the worst, most tasteless tomatoes and cucumbers I’ve ever had in Tbilisi. Don’t you guys buy fresh vegetables from the market? I didn’t even think it was possible to make a Georgian salad this disappointing, but here we are. There wasn’t a single piece of onion even though it was listed as an ingredient on the menu. No salad juices or oil, just an extremely dry, tasteless salad. Yuk.

Mariko's ragu with pineapple was listed as a main course, but the portion was more like a side dish. It was crunchy, undercooked vegetables (mostly carrots and bell peppers) with a few tiny pieces of pineapple. You can't call it ragu.

However, The sound setup when the band was playing was off. The music was way louder compared to the singing voices, you couldn't hear well the lyrics even though I was sitting right in front of the band.

My main reason for visiting restaurants is to enjoy a great meal, and this place definitely isn’t suitable for that. I left...

I came to this place to enjoy the live music, as I was expecting a band however it was just a one person band, it didn’t blow my mind, however it was still nice atmosphere due the music were calm and soothing which is my type, I don’t like loud noises and places and so I’d rate this 5/5

I congratulate this place for the waitress, female, perfect English, very welcoming, good energy, and this makes all the difference for a good place 10000/5

As for the food unfortunately I had no appetite, just went out to enjoy a nice place so can’t rate it, my sister had the falafel salad photo attached ( in her words, very delicious) 5/5

Every time i visit this restaurant, it surprises me again and again. The food is a very tasty, the staff is very kind,helpful and friendly. One of the main reasons i visit this restaurant is its adoring music, that takes me back to my childhood and revive my memories. Zaza is a great composer and musician, which magically attracts all listeners. Great place in historical area of old Tbilisi, with the amazing environment and atmosphere.Who wants to really plunge into relax and spiritual pleasure, i strongly recommend to visit this great nest...
