It was really refreshing to find a Uyghur restaurant whilst walking about. The ground floor is where the magic happens with a clean kitchen you can see the chefs working in, and downstairs is the area with traditional seating (shoes off, sitting on cushions) or normal tables and chairs. Everything is homemade from scratch, including the noodles, so most items on the menu warn you about 20-30 minute preparation times; the food is definitely worth the wait though.
Having lived in China for years, the food looks exactly like the Uyghur food I'd eat there, but the flavors were very different - I suspect they're closer to the "-stan" countries around China. In any case, everything was delicious, and I especially recommend the meat and pumpkin dumplings.

The seating area is downstairs, and upstairs is the kitchen area where you can watch then hand pulling the lagman noodles. Downstairs there was also a TV playing a document about Uyghur culture in diaspora and Uyghur restaurants in London and elsewhere. We got the Uyghur version of kimchi which was incredible, as well as meat Manti served in the steamer basket. The Manti are also served with fresh tomato which was very good. We tried stir fried lagman as well. We had some miscommunication with the staff, but they were very wonderful and fixed the problem. This was my first introduction to Uyghur culture and I would...
