Went out for dinner on new year’s night. Actually came here as a last resort because the 3 other places I wanted to go to had no tables available. The food was average for the most part except for the sad looking khinkali. The khinkali meat had chewy bits of cartilage in each one and the dough was so thin they looked like they were melting into the plate and several ripped open and leaked their broth as you lifted them. I ordered 8 and waiter brought out 9. I ordered mushroom soup and the waiter brought out a plate of mushrooms instead. When I asked what was up with this plate of mushrooms when I had actually ordered a soup the waiter got indignant and defensive about it then proceeded to tell me that I didn’t order the soup. I wasn’t too miffed about the mistake, however, I was surprised that the waiter tried to shift the blame onto me instead. I assured him that I would pay for the plate of mushrooms and just to bring out the soup I had ordered. He suddenly became polite again when he saw that I laughed off the mistake. He said it would come out in 10 minutes. About 20 minutes later we were ready to leave and the soup hadn’t come out yet. Finally, I asked to take the soup to go and then the check arrived. That’s when I noticed the service fee! LOL!!!! I think it was like 20-25% which the waiter totally didn’t deserve. I paid without argument because I can easily afford it and I have no time or patience to bicker with inept people. I won’t be returning and don’t recommend it to anyone. On a side note the bathroom stall door doesn’t lock, there was no toilet paper but rather a napkin/paper towel dispenser and the cushions on the bench seats at our table were terribly stained and...

I arrived early to have some breakfast and sat at the outside tables. As soon as I was waiting for my order, a lady approached me begging. As my attitude was to tell her no, no and no and ignore her, she started touching my hair and tried to do the same with my face.
I had to raise my voice and signal to the 3 waiters who were observing the scene from afar without intervening. It is not correct for 3 waiters to ignore each other in such a situation. I was waiting for the order at YOUR TABLE.
Then my omelet arrived, which deserved to come with some bread. I canceled the coffee I had ordered and requested the bill that came with the coffee collection. I think they felt comfortable charging it because it is difficult for a tourist to understand what is written in Georgian. In front of my claim, the coffee that had already been charged arrived. Furthermore, the bill came with a VAT increase of 18%... since that is not clearly indicated on the menu. Recommendation: Go where they...
Read moreIn all my years living in and visiting Tbilisi I never stopped to eat here. Turned out to be a mistake. The food is a solid 5 star rating. Well made, tasty and very reasonably priced. Portions are on the larger side of things so order with care. Staff was a bit on the slow side during my first visit. But no matter they caught up the slack quickly and I didn't have the same experience during subsequent lunches. As for atmosphere it's a bit of a mixed bag. The inside is a pleasant surprise. The outside area is right next to the busy Rustavelli Ave. ... Too busy to have a civilised conversation or make an order without resorting to what I'd already consider a shouty tone of voice. Doable but not my favorite place to be. Still going for 4 stars as it's just in line with the spirit of Tbilisi and the inside is truly a nice...
