I believe, that this is the best Italian food I've ever had in Berlin. I visited here with my girlfriend for a date night on a Friday. The service staff were mostly from Italy I assume, and were all extremely friendly and helpful. The moment that we walked into Dal Contadino, we felt like we were home.

I don't know how to explain it, but it was just the energy in the restaurant. It turned out to be the best italian dish I've ever had - We both had the special Spaghetti with Truffle Sauce, with an incredible red wine selection courtesy of our incredible waitress Cammilla.

They have great wine and excellent food, but unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by unacceptable behavior. We visited on Sunday, March 16, as a lesbian couple, and ordered a pizza and a bottle of water. From the moment we arrived, the waiter continuously stared at us and interrupted our conversation, making it impossible to enjoy a peaceful meal. He stared from close by during many moments. At some point he just came to the table clearly uncomfortable by us showing affection and told us we couldn’t stay unless we ordered more, despite the restaurant clearly not being full.
