Manju Indian Express — Restaurant in Berlin

My visit to this restaurant, nestled in the food court of the Mall of Berlin, unfortunately, merits a 2 out of 5 on Google reviews. Recognizing the inherent limitations of fine dining in a food court, my expectations were tempered, yet the experience proved to be less than satisfactory.

The restaurant's ambiance, while not unwelcoming, lacked the inviting atmosphere one might hope for. The extensive menu, though promising, failed to deliver on both flavor and originality. Opting for the signature dish, I anticipated a standout culinary experience, only to be met with lackluster presentation and underwhelming flavors that left a forgettable impression.

Acknowledging the challenges of operating in a food court, the courteous staff attempted to compensate for the culinary shortcomings. However, the overall dining experience hinted at the need for substantial improvements, ranging from culinary creativity to ambiance and service execution.

While it's understood that food court establishments may not rival fine dining experiences, this particular choice proved to be subpar even within those expectations. This review aims to provide constructive feedback, emphasizing the potential for enhancement across various aspects to ensure a more enjoyable dining venture for future patrons.

My most desastrous experience of 2021. The food is OK, the prices OK for the area but I have never seen such a disastrous service.

Not only did 5 people (obviously usuals because they didn't even bother to queue) get served before we did, despite them ordering the same dishes we did, so it was not a supply issue, but despite repeating four times we wanted our dishes to-go, we were handed out plates to eat on site. We didn't even bother trying to get what we actually asked for.

Particular mention also to the highly mysogynic attitude of the staff, that were literally arguing about who would get to serve a female customer wearing a short skirt while making gruesome comments and sharing thirsty...

Look, I understand you want to cut operation cost by providing only one time plastic cutleries, but could you get higher quality ones to reduce the chance of people eating plastic chips? I tried to get another one but they are all the same. It took some effort to break the excessive bit at the tip of the spoon, and completely scratch off the micro pieces it turned into.
