Honestly, I felt this place was a little expensive considering the limitation of what you got on your plate/in your glass. On one hand I understand as it was delicious and classy - however, that made it feel closer to fine dining rather than a cafe. And additionally, because of that limitation, if there was anything you didn't like about your dish, you wouldn't have a way to, say, "cope"? For example, if you prefer Camembert with more fruit or cranberry, you're in trouble. Or if you don't like the darker bread but prefer it with the lighter bread, you don't have that option. If you don't like the type of cheese on the Flammkuchen, then you're losing the main source (about 80-90%) of flavor to that dish. As for the location, it's the diamond in the rough. 👍

Good food but staff interaction can improve. I have been to many restaurants this week since I'm on a business trip but this was the first one that made me feel uncomfortable by the fact that I didn't tip the waitress. Well, as well known, tips here are optional and I tip when I have a value added service and some attention, which was not the case. It was all good until this awkward moment. Highly likely not to recommend the place due to that.

Cozy place with a great location and very friendly staff. It's a nice spot to relax and catch up with friends over a glass of wine. However, the food is quite average and overpriced. The "tarte flambé" is especially overrated and very expensive. Drinks were just okay. If you're really hungry, I'd recommend finding another place. But if you're looking for a chill evening in a nice ambiance, this might be perfect for you.

Stumbled upon this place by accident. Currently much construction going on all around, but the charm of the place made up for it! the place has way more flair than one might think at first. I ordered the Camembert cheese with some rose wine. The portion of both were generous. The cheese had some pine nuts, a few rosemary sprigs, and honey drizzled over it. And a few slices of bread perfect in relation to the cheese. The plate was decorated with 3 blackberries and a grape. I personally would have preferred to have a bit more berries to freshen the pallet. The service was very friendly and accommodating. For a Weingalerie the prices were what one would expect, but for a "cafe" the prices were way rather high. Not to mention there was nothing "cafe" about the place. In that regard the name is a little misleading. Still I am glad to have had...

We waited for an at best mediocre (and overpriced) cheese platter for 65 minutes! Our expensive wine bottle was almost finished by the time cheese arrived. We complained not once but twice, the explanation was "the kitchen is very busy!" And mind you, they only serve a very small selection of food in a small wine bar. The woman who served us was kind but she didn't seem to know anything about the wines they sold. The man apparently knew wine but he was not in the mood to explain much. Overall, very poor performance for a wine bar. You can easily find ten much better wine...
