Peter Pane — Restaurant in Berlin

I came on a Saturday night at 19:30, so the place was pretty full. However, I decided to sit inside, & when I set, I saw many empty tables around me. The place looked well cleaned, but there were no paper towels in the men's toilets, so I had to take some from the women's...

They have a deal that you pay for your chosen hamburger, then add €13 for a side dish & a cocktail, so this is what I ordered.

By the way, they offer the same deal during the work week, only much cheaper, if you order until 17:00, so it's definitely worth while to check out the place during the work hours.

I really liked the option to choose between 3 different hamburger buns (classic, sour dough, & multi grain). The waiter also explained that their cocktails are more expensive than other places, because they use quality alcohol from well known brands. I chose the veggie falafel-made burger with guacamole (with a sour dough bun), together with French fries & a cocktail.

The cocktail came fast (& indeed was very good), but it took forever for the food to arrive (around 30 minutes), & when it finally arrived, it came without any napkins and silverware! It was impossible to locate a waiter next to me, so until he came & brought me napkins, I already finished eating. He apologized, blaming the peak hour, & the number of customers (but as I mentioned, there were many empty tables)...

The food itself was good: The hamburger sour dough bun was good, as well as the falafel patty, & the French fries were the best I ate in Berlin! So, I was pretty happy with my meal.

When I finished, it was already 20:53, and I noticed that they have a happy hour from 21:00, so I waited 7 minutes, then ordered another cocktail, for a reduced price.

Overall I had a positive experience: I liked the dance music, the atmosphere, & obviously the food & drinks, so I definitely plan to return there.

They just need to improve their service during peak hours (perhaps hire more employees), so the food would arrive faster, with better service, & no shortages in...

Please avoid this restaurant as much as you can. Better buy a sándwich.. ...

I would to set up a complain regarding the service received today 28.10.2022 at the lunch time (arrive at 15.00 pm) in the restaurant.

We arrived at 15.00 and we ordered 2 menús 8.50 with drinks and burgers. We left the desssert for later.

One blonde skinny girl with one nose piercing served us and she gave us the drinks. 2 lemonades.

The restaurant was not 100% full after 10 min. So we took a place and wait.

Then, after waiting for more than 45 min, and saw other guests receiving their food faster, I decided to call the same waitress and ask her how long will take cause we have a job meeting after that.

She answered us very roudly, "Cant you see that the restaurant is full? The food comes right now."

We waited for another 5 min. We standed up and I said to her I was leaving. She started to talk to me very roud in front of other guests saying that I MUST pay the drinks. She went inside of the restaurant and start to talk to the supervisor about us. And made me wait on purpose another 5 min.

I said to her clearly with that service and 1 hour of wait I should not pay anything just leave and she charged me 11 eur for the drinks. Which is actually more than a normal menú....

Moin zusammen. Also ich gebe hier gleich mit auf den Weg, dass ich schon in wirklich vielen Burgergrills und Bars gegessen habe und hier (na ja) so einige Erfahrung habe, aber gestern war es wirklich sehr sehr gut.

Wir haben sehr schnell einen Tisch für fünf Personen bekommen (drei Erwachsene und zwei Kids, 12 Jahre), trotz wirklich augenscheinlich vollem „Laden“.

Alle im Service waren super freundlich, zuvorkommend und schnell in ihrem arbeiten.

Die Plätze waren tatsächlich etwas enger (wurde auch schon beschrieben), aber da kenne ich Schlechteres und es ist immer noch wirklich völlig OK. Die Sitzplätze sind bequem und viel als Bänke dargestellt, also zusätzliche und ausreichende Sitz - und Ablagefläche (z.B. Taschen, etc).

Das Ambiente und die Aufmachung im Geschäft ist toll. Modern, etwas verspielt, trotzdem aufgeräumt und dazu funktionell. Zugegeben war es in Summe etwas laut und vielleicht kann die Kette Peter Pan hier ihr „Soundkonzept“ etwas abstimmen (Musik etwas leiser, Klang - / Soundabsorber in den Räumlichkeiten unscheinbar verbauen, etc.), aber es war schon OK und wir haben uns nicht gestört gefühlt. Dafür ein weiter, großer und einsehbarer Raum, mit einem guten Umluftklima.

Das Essen…. Tolle Karte, für wirklich jeden was dabei (auch für Kinder und Senioren) und wie ich finde auch vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis für frisch und direkt zubereitetes Essen (OK, die Pommes kommen aus der TK, aber hey, dass tun sie im Steigenberger teilweise auch…) auch OK und angepasst. Werdet nur bitte nicht übertrieben und unangebracht teurer und haltet den Standart , dann kann sich keiner beschweren. Gutes Essen und umfangreicher Service kostet nun leider mal…!!!

Essen und Getränke kamen zeitlich sehr angepasst. Optisch sahen die Speisen gut angerichtet, aufgeräumt und lecker aus. Ich erzähle hier nichts von unseren einzelnen Gerichten, aber es waren neben Burgern auch andere dabei und alle waren wirklich sehr lecker und von der Menge passend. Die Saucen (wenn selbst gemacht ein +, wenn produzier trotzdem lecker) waren umfangreich und wirklich gut. Getränkeauswahl ist da. Es geht immer mehr, aber hier in der Karte ist wirklich viel, was angeboten wird, so dass man einen langen, tollen und umfangreichen Abend bei gutem Essen, Getränken und Gesprächen haben kann.

Toiletten sind sauber und auch hier wird geguckt, dass alles vorhanden und sauber ist.

Also liebes Team von gestern und auch das größere Peter Pane Team - macht weiter so, haltet euren Standart, bleibt weiter so offen, freundlich, motiviert und interessiert in eurer Arbeit und in Zukunft. Wir kommen gerne nochmal wieder und werden und können euch nur empfehlen - mit sehr gutem Gewissen.

Ein Besuch lohnt sich alle Mal…!!!
