Avoid if you have tastebuds.
We ordered 4 tapas dishes with water and bread between 2, €20 each which is not cheap for Berlin considering the size of the dishes and quality of the food.
Ham croquettes were almost liquid inside and inedible, manchego fried balls were absolutely tasteless and came in a litre of awful jam. Patatas bravas were huge pieces of baked, unseasoned potato with a reheated sauce on the side.
The waiter collected our almost untouched plates and didn't say a word to ask if everything was OK. He must have gotten used to complaints and lost the will to ask or face unhappy customers.
Upsides: it is a real shame for the food because the interior is quite nicely decorated, the location is convenient, the waiter was friendly and efficient (although see above) and the food came extremely quickly (c. 5 minute wait - although, again, probably not a good sign).
There are too many options in the same area for cheaper to bother eating the extremely poor food here. It is no exaggeration when we say that even frozen tapas from the supermarket or a McDonald's would be a better option - at least you know what...
Read moreThe (only) good side of the restaurant is very well made design - it's all made in classical Spanish style, reminds me Valencia a lot. Made with love and attention to details - mozaik, "Caballeros" sign on the restroom, menu primary language is Spanish, and so on. If you miss Spain while being in Berlin - good place to go. Other parts of experience were not so positive. Menu includes mainly traditional Spanish dishes, but the quality is quite lousy - Mojo sauce was so neutral it has no taste at all, tapas coming without bread (?!?!), and even while they have more waiters than visitors, you still need to wait for long time - waiters mainly are busy by talking to each other. Portions are small and overpriced even considering the location. The atmosphere, which is mainly coming from design of the place, is great, by eating experience -...

Be careful with the calamari! Ours was still wrapped in plastic, under the breading! As we were eating it, first it tasted awful, like low tide, and then we pulled the clear gelatinous plastic strips out of our mouths, which hardened to standard plastic when they cooled (see photo). Our waitress did apologize and took it off the bill, but that could have been dangerous, and should just never have happened at ANY restaurant.
Past that, the other tapas dishes were quite good. We had to wave several times to get the servers' attention, for more dishes, drinks, or the bill, and they walk around with their heads down, not looking around for customers in need. Overall, not great,...
