We entered around 5pm without reservation and asked for a table for 5. The place by that time has 5 tables, 2 occupied and 3 of them signed as reserved. She asked me if we are going to eat or only drink. I said eat. She thinks about it... She says ok but only if you pay cash, no credit cards please. I say nice, we re happy with that. We order the drinks and then the food: 2 starters, 5 main dishes, beers, drinks, wine. By that time, when we ordered the food and the drinks were already served, He (another guy) comes and says that the table is available until 6pm....! Schock 😲 !!! He leaves without listening but when we ordered more beers and drink and 2 desserts, he "generously" says that the table is available until 6.30pm 🫨...! Meanwhile, too many people came and left when they were asked if they want to drink or eat and when they replied "drink", they heard "sorry full, bye-bye". One lady comes in and asks if her kids can use the toilet. "He" says ok, "50 cents to use it".🫢 The time is 6.20pm and I order one more beer. The place is 1 large full table with locals eating, 1 table with us eating and 3 empty tables since the time we came. The answer of "He", who I ordered the beer, is that I should drink the beer within 10 minutes because the table, which was reserved from someone for 6pm and then surprisingly time exceeded to 6.30 pm, had to be left. He didn't bring the beer but only the check. I paid and told him ("He") that I had met many %^%#@%&* in my life but he is undoubtedly the winner 🏆 of them all....
Read moreThe service was awful. The waiter was exceptionally rude and unwelcoming. It is very clear that they do NOT want children here, maybe unless the kids were entirely silent. (Our kids were a bit loud in the almost silent courtyard but we calmed them down quickly and have not had complaints about them before, for context.) Perhaps we were doubly disliked as we don’t speak German. We try to at least use please and thank you in German but even my 6 year old tried to be polite in German and was met with a scowl or silence from the waiter. Our table was ignored, the waiter preferring to check on every other table around us (all of whom spoke German). It was like a little slice of the famously rude Parisian service, right here in Berlin. We were relieved to get out of there. The food was pretty good so it’s a shame. Also they are CASH ONLY. Knowing that...
Read moreIt's a beautiful place with such a cute courtyard, decent food but with the worst waiter ever. I ordered a ginger ale that never came and the waiter still blamed me for not reminding him he forgot when it was time to pay (what the hell???). For the record, I was at a table with five of my friends and they had to remind the waiter every time they ordered a drink at least once. It's ok to forget but at least be nice to your customers is the least you can do. Funny because we all counted the right amount of money for the bill and when he counted it himself, 10 euros was magically missing and he even wanted us to pay for the ginger ale that never came... how lovely! I would definitely recommend this place if rudeness and being mistreated by an a*e...
