Zentral 31 – Kantine im Rathaus Mitte — Restaurant in Berlin

I visited a few days ago in the morning in between breakfast and lunch. The sign said they serve breakfast until 10:00 then lunch at 11:00. It was open, but with dishes covered and no one in line I wasn't sure if they were serving food. I asked the lady behind the counter if they were open and she replied with an attitude "WHAT kind of question is thaaaaat?" And a snide "The door is open, isn't it???". Seriously? It's the kind of question management teaches their staff's response to be: "Welcome, this is your first visit, yes? Yes, we're currently still serving breakfast for X amount of minutes and then lunch at X time". Not - giving your customers who are new to the place an arrogant, demeaning attitude and treating them like crap. Luckily, the other staff lady was friendlier and I got a quick, hearty breakfast. If you're a tourist and would like some local attitude - I highly recommend this place where you'll get a serving of "Berliner Schnauze" with your meal. Food was good, selection limited, but ok, and it's cheap and light, airy place with plenty of seating - but the service I'll take without the nasty attitude & probably won't be back. Ich bin echt enttäuscht über den Umgang mit corona!!!! Am 20.12.2021 ging ich mit einer ungeimpften Klientin in die Kantine um dort Mittag zum mitnehmen zu kaufen. Ich erklärte ihr, das sie aufgrund der geltenden 2G sie draußen warten muss. Das wollte sie nicht und folgte mir. Es erfolgte nirgends eine Kontrolle des Impfstatus!!! An der Kasse stand dann noch ein älterer Mann ohne Maske, der ein weihnachtsessen zum 24.bestellte. Ich finde den Umgang in einem öffentlichen Raum, mit corona echt fahrlässig und frage mich wie soetwas sein kann, wo doch menschen des ordnungsamt es, Mitarbeiter des bezirksamt es, sowie auch viele menschen mit job aus dem sozialen dort speisen. Dabei wäre es doch ein leichtes, im Rahmen einer zuverdienststelle einen Arbeitsplatz zu schaffen, der sich um die Kontrolle des Impfstatus kümmern könnte. Schaffen ja alle anderen...
