Schloßcafé Emil Reimann — Restaurant in Dresden

My first visit here was good. Competent staff and good coffee and cake. I could pay with my card, which I prefer. Two days later I came back. I wanted to make my order and the woman behind the desk said, not so friendly, oh you want to drink it here? Go to my colleague on the other side. The man there started to make a milk coffee and I said, no a normal coffee please. It seems he didn't understand and he asked me, so you want a milk coffee? Once again I replied, no normal coffee please. Then he gave me a milk coffee and I decided to leave it for what it is. I asked to pay by card. He told me that it's not possible. That was surprising me because two days earlier it was no problem at all. When I told him that, he didn't care. So I asked him where I could get cash money? He pointed me to an ATM in the center and I went. When I came back I saw that behind the desk of this cafe there was a working device for card payments (people were paying there so it was working). I told the man behind the desk that I wonder why two days ago I could pay by card and that today suddenly I can not. He started a story about that his machine was broken and that it was not his fault. Weird, two steps away from him was a working device. He told me that if I was mad I should go to another place and I wouldn't be welcome there.

Waren heute zum Frühstück da. Das Kaffee an sich ist gemütlich. Leider war die rothaarige Bedienung sehr unfreundlich und überaus genervt. Wir hatten um ein neues, weiches Ei gebeten, da unseres leider kalt war beim Servieren. Als Antwort bekamen wir nur" die Kollegin macht kein Neues! " Das wäre auch kein Problem gewesen, nur die Art und Weise wie es uns gesagt worden war geht absolut nicht. Man hatte das Gefühl lästig zu sein und zu stören. Am schlimmsten war jedoch dann noch der Zustand der Toiletten. Diese waren absolut verdreckt und das war nicht der übliche Schmutz von Vormittag. Die Toilette war total verklebt mit Schmutz und sonstigen unappetitlichen Hinterlassenschaften. Der Mülleimer quoll über und das Waschbecken war im selben völlig verdreckten Zustand wie die Toilette, vom Boden ganz zu schweigen. Der Seifenspender war nicht vorhanden und stattdessen stand einfach eine riesige Flasche Seife mit viel zu grosser Öffnung ( da eigentlich für den Spender gedacht) auf dem Waschbecken. Eine Bahnhofstoilette sieht sauberer aus als diese hier. Auch die Mitarbeiter an der Verkaufstheke waren von der selben Freundlichkeit wie die Bedienung. Lustigerweise stand auf der Theke ein Schild mit der Aufschrift " Suchen freundliche Mitarbeiter"!! Das kann man verstehen, unfreundliche haben sie ja in dieser...

It only walking around after going to Emil Reimann that I realised how many there were. I'm fairly sure I'm reviewing the right one. We tried to order coffee down stairs and we're told to go upstairs if we wanted to sit. Upstairs was really nice, and we would have never known it was there.
