If I could rate it zero stars, I would. This café doesn’t deserve your time, money, or energy. I was calmly working on my laptop like any other cafe customer — and was aggressively approached twice by rude staff members telling me I “can’t use a laptop on weekends” (??) in a nearly empty space. No visible rules. No warning. Just passive-aggressive policing and power-tripping.
Then they had the nerve to criticize me for having a water bottle. Excuse me? I’m a paying customer. This is a cafe, not a prison.
This place doesn’t offer a safe or welcoming environment. Their service is appalling, their attitude is vile, and their understanding of hospitality is non-existent. If their coffee tastes anything like their behavior, it’s probably bitter and overpriced.
There are far better cafes in this city that understand what it means to treat people like human beings. Avoid this one at all costs.
[Update after owner’s reply:] I saw your response. Thank you, but my issue was never just about the rule — it was about the way it was enforced: abrupt, hostile, and lacking any basic courtesy. There was NO CLEAR SIGN in sight, and even if there was, your staff showed NO respect in communicating it. A policy doesn't excuse poor treatment. I hope future guests are treated with more dignity, especially in a space that claims to foster a...
Read moreIt was my second time at Café VND and the first time 'dining in'.
The food is delicious. We ordered Croffles: a Red Bean Butter Croffle and a Croffle with apple. It was also the first time eating a Croffle in my life and VND put the bar high: Perfect texture, a little bit crunchy but moist and juicy inside. The toppings complemented the overall taste and after visiting VND I guess it became one of my new favorite desserts.
We also ordered Iced Latte and a Lychee Aid and the taste was great as well.
The atmosphere is great. It was not loud and the acoustics were great as well inside when talking/listening. It feels cozy and homey and it's a great place to take a rest as well.
The staff is super friendly and they made us feel welcome the moment we talked to them. It seemed like they were paying a lot of attention to detail. The service was great.
Thanks for the...
Read moreThe coffee is good. But as a Cafe I don’t think it worths a recommendation. I was alone and wanted to find a place to take a rest. So I ordered a coffee and took my place. After thirty minutes I asked if the waitress could take care of my things such as backpack and PC while I was going to the toilet because I didn’t want to take them to the toilet. She said no and she was not supposed to be responsible for this. It seems that it is the style of this cafe. In summary, this cafe only sells the food and drink but didn’t provide services. I think it is okay for a gathering with friends. The atmosphere is good. But for alone travelers, you could find a much...
