Gogi — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Gogi Matcha was one of my favorite restaurants till one year ago. Yesterday that I was there many dishes are not on the menu anymore which is a pity as Tteok-bokki and Fried-chicken are traditional Korean dishes and the ones served before where exquisite. But not any more. The Bulgogi with octopus is also gone. The service also decreased as many waiters are there but try not to see you or avoid your calls, unless you stand up and ask for service. And not to mentioned that my partner asked for a vegetarian meal and he got a soup with beef! and the waitress said nothing while serving until my partner asked about it and the reply was“the soup is not vegetarian”. So why to serve that? Not even apologizing for giving wrong information about the dish while ordering and for serving a dish that was in first place not requested. The food now is medium-low, it lost its exquisiteness and the WOW, to now simple and “x” that today is forgotten and no reason to come back. The atmosphere is mega loud, you might need ear covers and much probably cannot have a good conversation if you come with people. All in all, I’m very disappointed on how this restaurant turned out. Was so great that I cannot believe it became medium-low restaurant and most probably I’ll not...

We drove more than 200km for the "Gamjatang" and Barbeque from this restaurant. And a staff refused to let us in because one of our child is above 7 years old without covid test result(normally above 12 yo). "That is the rule of our restaurant!" As he said with uncomfortable attitude. I mean, you should told us "the rules"when we were calling for the reservation, so that we could reserve for other restaurants. Unfortunately it was weekend，and our other favorite restaurants were totally full, by the way, they did not have "the rules" at all. Gogi matcha was used to be my top favorite restaurant, with delicious food and not bad service. We went like more than 10 times,(not easy because we live 230km away)And I always recommend it to my friends who would take a stay in DU. But we might not go again... disapointed...pity... Zu enttäuscht! 너무 실망!

I give 2 star because I am calm now and their food is not bad. Or else I would give a 1 star...

Bad service, rude to the customer, even the food is nice no one wants to come back. We don't spend money to be annoyed. Gogi Matcha used to be a good place for lunch but not now anymore. The service went bad and the attitude of the waiters was getting worse. There was NOT so many customers in the restaurant but we tried to call them and even rang the bell so they can come and help us with the food left as we would like to pack it and take away. But they ignored us, we tried to call again but they still ignored us. They have like 3 or 4 waiters inside and what they did is ignoring their customer? After like 10 minutes tried to call them, the guy came and kind of throw the take away box into my face and I need to pack the food by myself. Well living in Germany for almost 6 years and this is the first time that I see there's a restaurant let their customer pack the food by themself. The attitude was overqualified unpolite that I...
