Authentic and flavorful Dim Sum in Düsseldorf’s Little Tokyo.
We had a truly delicious dim sum meal. The fact that the staff spoke Cantonese made the whole experience so much more authentic.
We ordered Har Kau with prawns, Shao Mai pork, roasted pork Cheong Fun, and a jellyfish salad with BBQ pork and grilled duck. We ordered a pot of Oolong tea which paired beautifully with the flavors of the food.
The Har Kau dumplings were excellent. The skin had just the right elasticity, not too chewy but pleasantly firm. The filling was flavorful and fresh with a great combination of minced prawns and crunchy water chestnuts that added texture and a sweet bite.
The Shao Mai were juicy and rich in flavor.
The Cheong Fun was another highlight. The rice noodle rolls were incredibly soft almost melting on the tongue. The roasted pork inside was savory and balanced making each bite deeply satisfying.
We were especially surprised by the jellyfish salad. The jellyfish had a slightly chewy yet refreshing texture and was marinated in a tangy, zesty dressing that paired perfectly with the warm, tender slices of BBQ pork and grilled duck. The BBQ pork had just the right fat/meat ratio, making it both juicy and flavorful, and the duck was equally tender and aromatic.
Service was quick, friendly, and professional. Our server spoke good English and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down.
The only slight downside was that the prices listed online were a bit lower than those on the actual menu in the restaurant. But considering the quality and authenticity of the food, it still felt well worth it.
We left completely satisfied – and a little disappointed that we couldn’t try even more dishes from the menu. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreDim sum and other dishes were served dish by dish, which was super awkward as we had a larger group. Everyone around the table staring at a tiny plate of dimsum trying to figure out how to share it between us painting a comical situation. In terms of food, dim sum was quite okay but ANYTHING ELSE is MEH. Not tasty but just meh, passable. Garlic stir fried veggie had no Garlic taste, too much starch in the fish sauce and the salt and pepper squid was soggy. Food on the saltier side.
For the price point, portion was smaller than expected. SUPER NOT WORTH IT.
In terms of service it was HORRIBLE. Just because a restaurant is busy does not mean that waiters or waitresses can be rude to someone else. Servicing customers is within one's job scope so it is expected that customers have requests that you have to tend to. If you don't want to serve customers, maybe consider self service? That would save you a lot of manpower and the need to be cross at other people. 😊
In conclusion, am very disappointed with the restaurant. Do not go. AVOID IT.

Read moreVery authentic hk dim sum. Best har gao I've had so far in germany. Chicken feet was also fresh not frozen. Seaweed fried roll also is good. We also had an excellent yam fritter with prawn. The bowls of porridge(menu nr B##)are large and are easily shared between two to four people. Chrysanthemum tea is also available by the pot if you know how to order, if not it's not in the menu .you know it's authentic when the the tea gets automatically refilled with hot water ;) Dim sum items (menu nr A##) cost an average 5 euros while main dish items (menu c##) will cost about 13-15. porridge is 10+ . A little pricey but worth the money . No booking required when we came but, it's usually fully booked and we came around 3pm. Also open on Sundays so that's a huge plus. Waitresses speak german, chinese, cantonese limited english. Menu with lots of pictures are very good for first timers who have no idea what I reviewed up top. Will definitely...
