The food was very nice, however it really doesn't excuse the service we were faced with. We are an English, polite couple visiting Hamburg for the first time making an effort with the German language. when we came in, we went to sit at a table of 4 in a pretty empty restaurant (we're a couple and bags with us, and the couple of tables of two were between families and we wanted privacy), and we got abruptly told not to sit there and guided to a table of 2 we didn't want to sit at as the table next to us was reserved for 8 people. We were given a dirty look for taking an English menu back to our table, and then we asked for 2x burgers in the lunch menu. When we nervously came to order, I had my empty drinks bottle on the table - "that's not allowed here" is all he said, I apologised but was faced with very cold dissaproving looks. We asked for tap water as we are students on a budget and they said "we don't do that here". Okay that's fine, so we say no drinks and get pretty much sneered at. We then wait at the table with the water giving us dirty looks from behind the bar and whispering to the chef who also turned round and looked at us. We felt incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome. We ate fast, and got out fast. We were very close to just leaving out of being purely uncomfortable and unwelcome, almost as if we were treated badly for being either English, students, or not dressed in...

I have countless things to talk about. The first of them is that this was definitely the best burger I've ever eaten in my LIFE. I ordered it with wagyu beef, what a juicy, tasty meat. the burger is very well done. I had never eaten such a delicious burger. Another important point was the friendliness I received, thank you very much guys. The boys are extremely friendly and receptive. I wish there was a burger joint next to my house, maybe it's better not to because I would lose my diet every day. I thought it was fantastic that he has some of their CC, which is actually delicious.

I could say that I would come back a thousand times because of the service, but not only that, the burger is really good. I only went to visit this place because of the reviews here and I tell you this is really what everyone says. 1000 stars!! All the success in the world to you boys.

Nearly €60 for two burgers, a single beer, a bottle of Stillwater and one order of fries. Burger came out cold, and not to order. I ate the burger thinking it was prepared before my partner’s so it must have cooled off. Regardless the burger tasted mediocre at best, despite having a pink inside, there was clearly no salt or pepper or any sort of seasoning on this beef tartare patty.
