We actually planned to eat at the billy burger right next to it but it was so crowded so we decided to eat at yoshi sushi place. We have heard it before it is quite expensive but it should be a real sushi place to eat.
We ordered the lunch menu, bento and sushi maki roll set. Service was nice but very slow. Food took about 20 minutes or more to come.. bento was all very nice but it's really not soooo much for this price. I guess it's like elegant eating not making you fell full. Miso soup was yummy not too salty but also not really special. My sushi maki roll set was ok, one roll with cucumber, the other with avocado and one with crab meat stick. I was expecting some fish at least (salmon maybe) for this price.. well overall it's tasty, simple but way too expensive. At the end we pay for lunch special between 30-40 euro per person. I was also kind of surprise Japanese green tea costs 7,8€ but it didn't really taste so different then normal green tea in other Asian restaurant.
I think this would only be the place for people who has way too much money to spend for food, oh well the sushi here is at least way better than henssler henssler!! For sushi I was not 100% being convinced that it worth that much money. After lunch I went to the Lindner Bakery across yoshi to get some (big)dessert so my stomach is...
Read moreSemi authentic Japanese food in Hamburg city center. Many Japanese people eat here, which is a good sign. I like their teriyaki dishes, the sauce is so special, I think it is homemade. Their sushi is simple yet very tasty, clean taste, no need to add too much soy sauce. Tempura is light battered, crispy, and not oily. My favorite is their aubergine baked in miso sauce, simple yet very tasty. The atmosphere is too cold, no music nor warm lights. It feels like eating in a tv...
Read moreThe sushi they serve at this place is really good, especially compared to most other sushi places in Hamburg - but closing time 22:00 means closing time 22:00. This means you cannot oder the 9 course menu if you booked a table at 20:00 and they won't bring you a glass of sake at 21:40 which kind of ruined the experience for us a bit. The service in general is far from what one would expect from an upscale japanese...
