I have been a dedicated patron of Losteria restaurant for several years, frequently visiting the Künstlerhaus branch in Munich. Over time, it became my go-to spot for delightful meals and gatherings, often organizing our clinic events there with my team and we spent approximately 5K euro during three years. However, my recent visit on 05.02.2024 to the Künstlerhaus branch in Munich has left me deeply disheartened and disillusioned with the establishment. Upon arrival at 17:15 for a reserved table, my friend and I were met with unprofessional and aggressive behavior from the restaurant manager, Mr. Eric. Despite having a prior arrangement with another staff member, Mr. Yousof, to wait for a specific table, Mr. Eric rudely denied us access, citing an alleged reservation for a birthday party. Despite our efforts to reason with Mr. Eric and explain the prior agreement, he remained obstinate and refused to listen to our side of the story. His demeanor was intimidating, and he even went so far as to threaten the waitstaff with termination if they served us. Throughout this distressing ordeal, I felt utterly humiliated and disrespected by Mr. Eric's conduct. What made matters worse was that we had patiently waited for that particular table for one hour and fifteen minutes. Despite the intervention of the restaurant's chief, Mr. Andre, and our eventual seating, the damage to our evening had already been done. We were unable to enjoy our meal due to the hostile environment created by Mr. Eric's actions. If the table was truly reserved for a birthday party, why did Mr. Yousof not inform us of this when we arrived? When we arrived, we specifically asked Mr. Yousof if the table had any special reservations after the current customers, and he assured us that it did not. Therefore, it was surprising and confusing when Mr. Eric suddenly claimed that the table had a birthday reservation. This inconsistency raises questions about the professionalism and management of the situation. As someone who was previously satisfied with Losteria, evidenced by my positive review from two years ago (which I plan to attach), I am deeply disappointed by this recent experience. Regrettably, I cannot continue to patronize an establishment that condones such unprofessional behavior from its employees. Therefore, I and my team members have made the decision to discontinue our visits to Losteria indefinitely. In conclusion, I urge the management of Losteria to address the concerning behavior and take proactive steps to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. As it stands, I cannot in good conscience recommend Losteria to others based on my recent experience.
