Our first visit here was with a food tour. As a pescatarian, I was able to have good choices. Our food tour was great. We were introduced to an assortment of Greek specialties. The second time we came, we ordered the fried seafood plate for 2 people. We were disappointed. The plate was mainly filled with little sardines. The schrimps were very small and still had shells on them. It was awkward to eat them. There were not a lot of anything else, so "seafood" was an overstatement. The fried cheese with sesame seeds is awesome! So was the fish pate. The last 2 photos are from the food tour.

The staff here is exceptionally friendly, which deserves a mention. Outdoor seating is available and the prices are OK. Overall, t food was decent but not outstanding. The chicken souvlaki was good but didn't wow me, and the portion size was relatively small (just one skewer and a few potatoes). As for the fried baby shrimps, it was a bit of a love-hate relationship – they had something going for them, but the fact that they still had their shells on was a downside for me. The chitin was quite tough and detracted from the taste. On the bright side, the Greek cola was tasty.

WARNING, WARNING. Good food for fairly normal prices EXCEPT suddenly one ordinary plate that is generally 10 to 12 euros was 29! That was a total ripoff! If you go here be very careful what you order. Note, we have been in Athens for over a week, and that one dish was as much as we usually spend for full dinners with wine at other places. Picture here was a complimentary dessert. Edit - can't reply to owners reply. The dish and price were on the menu. We just didn't see it. But, my point stands. It is vastly overpriced.

Would you put a dish people would complain about on your menu? If you do include it because it's an acquired taste, would you warn people about it so that they would know what to expect in advance? When I ordered the island octopus, the waiter just wrote it down without comment. The dish came, the octopus was swimming in vinegar and tasted tougher than shoe leather. When I complained to the waiter, I was told that it was tough because it was cooked in vinegar. The restaurant has a greeter urging every passerby to step inside. A person in my party has braces and can't bite into the famous souvlaki next door. So we came here, being fooled by the high rating on Google maps. A waiter immediately put a bottle of water on our table. Other restaurants usually offered a pitcher of tap water which tastes perfectly fine. We had to ask them to replace the bottled water with tap water. While we ate, a big tour group came into the restaurant and sat down at two big tables, confirming this place is a...

Total disappointment. That greek restaurant with a lot of traditional dishes but the taste was terrible. We tried the "Island octopus", it was over cooked hard to chew, and the amount of vinegar was catastrophic. As we sat the waiter put a bottle of mineral water with out asking. we ask him to take the bottle back because we didn't order water. At the end of the meal the water ask if we enjoyed and if all the dishes was good. I said what I was expecting from the dish to be, the waiter replay that this is the dish and this is how it supposed to be. Hard to believe. Total waste of...

We arrived to find the restaurant absolutely packed, which is always a good sign — and we weren’t disappointed. A very friendly gentleman came out right away, asked us to wait just a couple of minutes, and even brought a chair out for my partner while we waited. True to his word, we were seated shortly after.

The food was fantastic — we had the souvlaki, which was absolutely delicious, and to top it off, they went to the trouble of making some fresh pita bread just for us. It’s rare to find such warm hospitality and attention to detail these days. Highly recommended — we’ll...
