I recently had the pleasure of dining at Darband Restaurant, and I must say it was a truly fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, creating a cozy and inviting setting for a memorable meal.
One aspect that stood out to me the most was the incredible service provided by Tania, one of the staff members at Darband. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. Tania's warm and genuine demeanor made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. She patiently answered all my questions, provided insightful recommendations, and ensured that every detail of my visit was taken care of.
The menu at Darband offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, reflecting the rich flavors of Persian cuisine. Each dish I tried was prepared to perfection, with fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of spices and flavors. From the fragrant kebabs to the aromatic rice dishes, every bite was a delight to the senses.
In addition to the delicious food and outstanding service, Darband Restaurant also had a charming decor that added to the overall experience. The cozy seating arrangements and tasteful Persian-inspired design elements created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends.
Overall, I cannot recommend Darband Restaurant highly enough. The combination of delectable food, warm ambiance, and exceptional service by Tania truly made my visit a memorable one. Whether you are a fan of Persian cuisine or looking to try something new, Darband is the place to go. And if you're lucky enough to have Tania as your server, you're in...
Read moreStarting with meat: Beef was really a stone. You are chewing chewing and not going anywhere. It is really hard and this is making the taste uncomfortable. Probably they cooked it a bit fast. You have to cook it slowly if you want to have a meat which is melting in your mouth. So it is really deserved that one star.
Rice: Rice was so untasty. Maybe a bit buttery, a bit salty taste would be nice. But this is just boiled plain rice without any seasoning. To be honest I didn't expected a plain, unseasoned, disturbing taste in the rice. The taste is not even reaching normal standards.
Almonds: It would be better with cubed almond. Instead òf using sliced almonds. Big cubed almonds, will carry the taste to further away. The sliced almonds just fading in the taste. And you are not feeling.
Cranberries: To be honest I found sugary cranberries in my salty meal. It was different taste for me. ( Maybe it is okey in Persian cousine)
Atmosphere: Restaurant don't have a cozy or stylish atmosphere. It is dark. Mostly looks like a under bridge restaurant. The kitchen looks soo messy and oily. I also couldn't see any gloves or hair bandanas to protect hygiene.
Avaroll, I found the price and quality index low. This restaurant could be better with cheaper prices. Or could be better with better atmosphere and food taste. I didn't like. The food didn't...
Read moreDarband used to be one of my favorite restaurants, known for its high quality and classy atmosphere. Unfortunately, it’s been going downhill for a while now.
The food quality has dropped noticeably. The zeyton parvarde recipe changes every visit and keeps getting worse, and tonight the tomato served with the vaziri kabab was almost yellow—far from fresh. Service has also taken a hit; I waited over an hour for an order that should’ve taken 20 minutes. When I asked the waiter, they blamed appetizers (which I didn’t even order), an excuse that made no sense.
The music is another letdown. They used to play classy, enjoyable Persian music that created a great ambiance. Now it’s unbearably loud and not pleasant—even as a Persian myself. It’s hard to enjoy a meal or even hold a conversation.
On top of all this, the prices keep rising by a few hundred forint every time I visit, which doesn’t match the declining quality.
It’s sad to see such a great place fall so far. It used to place for Persian to visit and be reminded of home. I hope they turn things around, but for now, I...
