moim; Korean fusion gastrolounge — Restaurant in Budapest

We had a really great dinner in Moim (모임), we cooked beef sirloin (소고가) on the BBQ. The personell, especially one waitress was very very kind and helpful all the time, I wish other restaurants had the same nice, smiling and helpful hosts like Moim has. Since we are still rookies when it comes to eating Korean food (esp BBQ), their help was greatly appreciated!

As for the food itself, it tasted really good and if you just started out with Korean food you can experiment with the various side dishes (banchan/반찬) to see which one you like more. This was our 4th or 5th time eating authentic Korean food and it tated the best so far.

Even though the place may be busy around the evening hours (so it's a good idea to book a table in advance), the atomsphere is still relaxed and you can enjoy your meal happily.

They also have Korean style karaoke rooms (noreabang/노래방) where you can sing to various songs, even ones you select from YouTube. (At least that's what I heard.) We didn't try that, but maybe next time we will.:)

A group of 4 and spent a lil over 34,000 for 6 orders n 2 drinks plus water. Location easy to find and on ground floor Ambience was cool n no loud music Service: a. Quick serving of orders b. Waitresses are friendly and even explain into details about the dishes and offer help for BBQ for first timers Dishes are nice but it will help if u let them know in advance the things u don't like. Eg. a. The boneless chicken in sauce was overshadowed by garlic. (We're not garlic lovers so that's our fault as we're first timers) b. The tteokbokki was spicy but TOO sweet (a taste OUR palate didn't agree with it. c. Our best meal would be the noodle with the black sauce (jjajangmeong) and lettuce wrap (samgyupsal) Prices.....some dishes had reasonable prices n others a lil...

This place has amazing samgyeopsal, jjambong, and jjangmyeon. Unfortunately I didn’t order those any of those dishes this time. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken. It came out as just cuts of old chicken breasts which were breaded and deep fried. However, the chicken they used was old and rubbery. It was as if they needed to quickly defrost some frozen chicken breasts so they microwaved it, but they did it for too long. Rubbery grayish chicken. Also the sauce was too much ketchup not enough gochujang. And the amount of garlic was insane. Seems like they must’ve chopped up a whole head of garlic and sprinkled it raw on top. It was one of the worst kfc dishes I’ve ever had, and having lived in Korea for many years, I’ve had lots of...
