We visited the Strudel Garden Cafe on our last day in Budapest as my partner loves Strudel. Unfortunately, I am not a great lover of it. The girl who served us was excellent. She went out of her way to ensure my partner received the drink she wanted, which was slightly different than the one on the menu. My partner ordered the Hungarian Strudel with Ice Cream, and I ordered a Walnut Swirl. Both were delicious. I tried my partner's Strudel, and for someone who doesn't normally like or eat Strudel, I thought it was delicious too. Strudel Garden Cafe has a couple of tables and chairs outside. However, we chose to sit upstairs and had the place to ourselves. A nice little touch was that each of us received a motivational quote written in Hungarian and English I just wish we had visited the cafe earlier on our trip. Without any doubt, this is the best cafe we visited during our seven day trip...

Food: Coffee and pastries

What a lovely find this place was and exactly the type of independent business you want to see do well. Nestled in the Opera Garden area you’re in for a treat. I went with low expectations and left with a take away it was that good. The service was exceptionally good and I already can’t wait to go back for the strudels. As mentioned below the croissants were the best I have had. I highly recommend going here.

What I liked:

• Excellent service. Warm, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. • The croissants were the best I’ve had in Budapest. No question about it. • The coffee (Brazilian, medium roast I’m told) was also made perfectly • Good price point

What I didn’t like:

• N/A

Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value?...

Open on Sunday as well while some other cafes are closed.

Very good service,staff are welcoming and friendly.Speak very good English and tried those strudel recommended by staff.

Pistachio crossiant Strudel with sour cherry and creamy cottage cheese (better than the original cottage cheese if you prefer creamy and soft fillings)

Pistachio and Dark chocolate gelato exceed my expectation and both are delicious.Very rich and dense flavor,have tried the gelato in Prague (the popular one,but this taste so much better),it has a roast flavour of Pistachio and nutty taste.
