Absolutely loved this place!! For starters i have to say the service here is better than any I have received at the craft beer bars I frequent. Our bartender's name is Stratos a important himself from Greece. He is Knowledgeable on local Icelandic beers and made wonderful suggestions. Surprisingly he knew a lot about Houston's booming craft scene. They are the biggest craft bar in Iceland carrying over 200 beers however not on tap at the same time. They do not have enough space to tap them all at once. They alternate through them every week or when they run out. No worries, they have plenty on tap at all times and have many options. I stuck to the Icelandic locals brews. Drink local right 👍🏼. They also offer food here. My girlfriend and I split an order of fish and chips and the wings. Both are delicious, you cannot go wrong with either choice. We liked this place so much we went back for the music of Iceland talk which is held every other Wednesday day. Held by a PhD in some sort of music at the local University. The talk was great and answered some questions me and my girlfriend were wondering about their music. They also have a guy that does a history of Icelandic beer. He's awesome as well he sat and talked to us for a bit when my girlfriend started asking him questions. The people in Iceland are nice. We had an early morning flight so we hung out here until we had to make our way to the airport. When I come back to Iceland I will definitely...
Read moreExcellent beer place with a great beer on tap selection for Icelandic standards. They also mix all kinds of cocktails right there and then. Staff was very friendly and chill. The place per se is worth a visit even if you don’t consider the drink options, as it’s just so amazingly well decorated (see pictures). It has an awesome atmosphere of greatness, vintage furniture everywhere, walls perfectly decorated and just so impressive without being too much in any way. We didn’t try any food as we only came for the drinks, so I can’t judge it, but it did look good in other people’s plates. People hanging out there were also pretty chill, the music was in point with the vibe. So yeah, I’ve favorited this place as somewhere I’ll be coming back whenever...
Read moreVery cozy bar in Reykjavik, I went here in the evening after having witnessed the midnight sun at the city's recycled house.
I was quite thirsty after my walk back to the centre, I grabbed a drink here and talked to the friendly and lively staff. I asked which beer tourists had to try during their visit and was recommended Boli. I ordered a mug and was not disappointed!
I didn't eat here, but the food looked really good (judging from looking over the shoulders of other visitors). So if you're hungry or thirsty, give this...
