We went on a Saturday Night, it is a pure veg restaurant which was perfect for us that day.

Rating based on normal markers which we have for restaurants - Food - Detailed review below, overall 4.5-5/5 Service - 5/5 Super quick speed it took us just 1.5 hours to complete our food, take pictures everything and we were very sated. The portion of Food - 5/5 The portion of the food was really good for the amount charged. Pricing - 5/5 The pricing was very fair considering they have places in Fort / Andheri and the price range is similar to what other places charge there. Cleanliness - 5/5 The place was clean, the cutlery nice and colourful decor.

We ordered the following - Starters - Delhi Aloo Tikki Chaat - 4/5 Mouthwatering, the taste was that of Delhi chaat. It was perfect, the chole perfectly cooked, gravies taste was awesome and reminded me of Delhi 6 chaat. The only con was if the aloo Tikki would have been crispy it would have been 5/5, I really hope they work on it. Naram Kabab - 4/5 It gave what it said in the menu the crust was crispy and the inside was malai which was extremely delicious, however personally I am not a malai lover and did not realize I was ordering malai dish I should have rather gone for the vegetable one. Our list was large we wanted to try more starters so we will definitely be visiting again. Drinks - Delhi Lassi - 5/5 not the thickest lassi we have had the flavour was bang on. Buttermilk - 5/5 Love the thickness flavour everything about it. Kalakhatta Mohito - 5/5 Reminded us of golas and was very refreshing. Main course - Veg Kadai - 5/5 The aroma flavours were perfect without being too spicy or too tangy. Normally when you order at Punjabi places its more about spicy rather than flavours. Dhabewali Dal / Dal Makhani - 4/5 Very nice and creamy. Personally, my favourite is still Northern Tadka one in Mumbai since it has a slight sweetish flavour. However, others on our table loved this daal. Rumali Roti - 5/5 Loved it. Was fluffy thin and nice Mirchi Paratha - 5/5 Was amazing just how we like spicy and crispy. Butter Roti - 5/5 Same as normal restaurants. Jeera Rice - 5/5 Perfectly cooked Rice with nice aroma and portions

We were dying to try the dessert but unfortunately, we were full, so we will definitely be visiting again...

unplanned outing turned out to be fabulous dinning experience.

We reached here early at about 7.30 by the time 8.30 the entire restuarants was full! It to be noted that this restuarants has ample of sitting about 80 people at a time, despite it got full in few minutes. this shows the popularity of restaurant.

Place has a nice Ambience. Hygienic food preparation. Staff was good &polite.

Let's come to the food now:

We ordered Rajbhog Thali which is unlimited serving Thali. we were told that they revise menu every day so you get to taste different items.

We got kokum Mojitos at first, It was refreshing & soothing. Great selection to start the dinning in hot summer.

Thereafter it comes to Chat items for which menu users have positively reviewed. Chat section comprised of Dahi Bhala, Chola Samosa Chat and Panipuri Shots. Dahi bhala and Samosa chat was superb while Panipuri was average.

There after we moved to starters, which were broccoli pesto kabab, makai kabab, veg sikh kabab & classic paneer tikka. All four were okay, it would have been better if they would have considered something different then 3 type of kabab.

and then it comes to Rajbhog Thali which was copper plates and gives Raja Rajwadi premium vibes. It consists of 3 veggies - Paneer Labhabhdar, Veg Kadai & Khada Masala Chole. All were very nicely prepared. They serve hot Tandoori Roti & Butter Kulcha. The thali was accompanied with Buttermilk bottle. I must say this buttermilk was better than the one I had at Bhagat Tara Chand.

In the sweet section we got Rabdi Jalebi which was served hot. It was juicy and prepared in Deshi ghee.

We closed our dinning with Dal Delhi Highway & Dum Biryani. We were literally full by the time we reached end of main course.

and in desert it was Vanila Ice cream.

Overall it was fabulous experience. Highly Recommended to dine in with...

Restaurant Experience Review:

I recently had the opportunity to visit a restaurant and would like to share my experience. Our intention was to try the thali, and overall, it was a mixed experience.

Firstly, the starter was delicious and left us wanting more. Unfortunately, when we requested a repeat serving, it never arrived. We patiently waited for nearly half an hour before the main course finally made its appearance. The delay was quite disappointing, as it detracted from the overall dining experience.

To our dismay, as we began to enjoy the main course, we discovered a live cockroach in one of the dishes on my plate. We immediately alerted the staff, and they promptly took the plate away. This unsettling incident left us feeling rather appalled and concerned about the restaurant's hygiene practices.

Adding to the already frustrating experience, during the transition from the starter to the main course, a representative from the restaurant approached us for billing. It was disheartening to see that no one seemed to be taking good care of ensuring the smooth flow of our meal. This lack of attention to detail and poor coordination between the staff resulted in a disruption to our dining experience.

Overall, while the initial starter was enjoyable, the subsequent issues greatly impacted our overall impression. The delayed service, the presence of a live cockroach in the main course, and the lack of attention to our order all contributed to a disappointing restaurant experience.

It is vital for restaurants to prioritize customer satisfaction by ensuring timely service, maintaining proper hygiene standards, and improving communication among staff members. I hope my feedback helps them improve their operations and provide customers with a better dining experience...

The lockdown brought a halt to the spree of dine-in experiences at restaurants. But now with the easing of restrictions and restaurants opening up, has definitely brought a cheer to everyone. I visited the Delhi Highway Fort Branch located on MG Road. It has 2 levels, the upper deck is more spacious and plenty of seating. Loved the ambiance, has a royal touch to it. The upper deck also has a mini bar, serves the purpose. Delhi Highway serves authentic traditional Indian food. You can choose from their A-la-carte menu or go for their Maharaja Thali. We choose the thali so as to get to taste more at one go. The thali is available for 650 all inclusive for dinners. Their pricing differs for lunch depending on working days and holidays. The thali as the caption says live life king size. The Maharaja Thali has a mocktail, chaat, starters and main thali with dessert included. The menu for the day for us was - Virgin Mojito to begin with. For chaat we got Pani Puri Shot, Palak Patta Chaat and Methi Puri Tostadas. Of all the Palak Patta Chaat with dahi was the best. Moving to starters, there was Banarasi Tikki and Rajma Kebab served on a platter and Achari Paneer Tikka and Motiyan Seekh Kebab. I personally liked all the starters. Tastes good along with Green chutney and onions. Finally the thali arrives with 3 vegetables and Delhi Highway's version of Dal Makhani. Veggies were Methi Malai Mutter, Paneer Butter Masala and Pindi Chole, served along with Butter Naan and Tandoori Roti. All vegetables again good. However the winner for me was the Hyderabadi Biryani. Simply loved it. They had Gulab Jamun as well for sweet end to a superb meal! Nothing much to complain, a good outing after really really long. Recommend people to visit in case near Fort. Wishing Delhi Highway all the best!
