Read moreThere were only three customers in the entire venue: a lady who entered around the same time as us, plus my friend and myself. Despite this, the staff insisted we sit face-to-face under their arbitrary policy — a setup that would force half our group to sit outdoors where it was drizzling initially, then pouring heavily (as shown in my photo). We refused this unreasonable demand and chose indoor seating. No one pays to drink while getting soaked.
Context matters: Had the place been crowded, I would have taken minimal space. But with only three customers, such aggressive rule enforcement felt absurd. We nearly left, but due to the worsening weather and our hotel plans, we reluctantly ordered a wine flight and a red glass just to wait out the rain — not because we wanted to stay.
To the owner: If you want long-term success, focus less on repetitive upselling ("Need to add anything else?" asked three times!) and more on service logic. Charging an 8% service fee while ignoring basic customer comfort is inexcusable.

Of course there is a great selection of import wines to be had, but if you are new in Bali and would like to sample some locally produced wines, cheeses and charcuterie you won't be disappointed.
In the evening the climate in Ubud is very pleasant and sitting on the bar overseeing the street was a delight. The staff are friendly and make you feel at ease. The place is clean and the atmosphere is great.
There are a variety of grazing menus and also some wine tasting options as well. The owner can help you select the wine that is fitting for you. We had a white wine; B&G Cuvee Speciale, Bordeaux, the charcuterie & cheese board and some amazing local chocolate for a little dessert.
I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking to enjoy some good wine, quality snacks, good vibes and soak in the...
