Oka's Warung — Restaurant in Bali

Went to try this place based on Google reviews. Food: We ordered veg sandwich, veg spring roll, fish wrap and the chicken curry. The sandwich was fine, average sandwich and they accommodated our only veg option which was good. The spring roll was yum and highly recommend it! The fish wrap on the other hand wasn't good, the fish didn't taste fresh at all. The portion of the chicken curry was decent, but you need to order rice separately. Overall, except for the spring roll we didn't find anything else that good. You can get better food in Bali for the same or lesser price.

Service: The young man serving was very sweet, but does not understand English much. The lady serving is fine but not typical Bali friendly. They do take time to get your orders as it's probably just one person cooking. Not to mention, they charge for service separately and an additional 3% if you pay by card, after making you wait 30min for your food!

Ambience & Location: It's a short walk from the main road, so pretty good in terms of location. In terms of ambience, it's a small warung and nothing spectacular...

I should have seen the reviews before coming here, because the price here is more affordable than the others, and it is very close to where I stay and there are many variations

It takes a long time to make, it tastes salty, there is no chili sauce, there is bottled chili sauce, for me who likes to eat anything, this one is not finished. 😅 I ordered coconut and asked for it in a glass, the coconut contents were almost not given if I didn't ask, one of them was said to be empty.

If you want to eat 100% delicious food, it's not here, affordable and close to the center of Ubud, it's here and just to fill your stomach.

But I personally will not...

Lovely little home style restaurant. Everything was SO cheap, food starting from like 30k for nasi goreng and even still 30k for some fish dishes. Cocktails and desserts only 20k which was amazing, you walk around the corner to the busy bars and you are looking at 100k for a cocktail!
