It is not everyday that one is able to dine at a location that leaves an indelible mark on the culinary senses, but Nusa, nestled within the picturesque Bali Collection in Nusa Dua, achieves exactly this. Returning for our second visit, we found ourselves anticipating the exquisite food and exceptional service we'd come to know from our first experience - a lofty standard that Nusa effortlessly upheld.
The fare at Nusa is a symphony of flavors that resounds in every bite. The Wagyu Pappardelle, an ode to indulgence, was masterfully prepared. The high-quality wagyu minced beef mingled effortlessly with the tender, ribbon-like pasta, creating a melody of taste that resonated with our expectations of a top-tier culinary establishment. The nuanced flavors were bold and distinctive, a testament to Nusa's commendable ability to turn simple ingredients into high art. Just wished there was more..
If a perfect Smash Burger exists in this world, we might have found it at Nusa. It was an absolute joy to bite into the succulent, perfectly-cooked patty, ensconced within a beautifully toasted brioche bun. Every ingredient worked in harmony, proving that even the most familiar comfort food can be elevated to gastronomic heights when executed with precision and a keen understanding of flavor profiles.
The Truffle Pasta was the pièce de résistance of our meal. It was a sublime fusion of earthy truffles and creamy pasta that melted in our mouths, leaving us basking in its lingering, rich undertones. The aroma alone was intoxicating, and the balance of flavors, texture, and presentation showcased the chefs' meticulous craftsmanship and deep culinary understanding.
The exceptional service at Nusa is a perfect counterpoint to the extraordinary food. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff is a finely-tuned orchestra playing a symphony of hospitality. The precision and attentiveness of the service staff are truly worthy of a standing ovation - you feel seen, valued, and respected throughout your entire experience.
To dine at Nusa is not simply to have a meal, but to embark on a culinary journey. A pilgrimage, if you will, into the soul of fine dining where every dish is crafted with passion and every bite is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence. Read moreFound this place on Google Reviews and the ratings are well justified though there are some dishes I would recommend and some I wouldn’t reorder (view below for full list) Reserved via Chope.
Total spent: 2 389 310 IDR (2 pax) Ordered: Burrata Carpaccio Rib Eye Pichana Fries Broccoli salad Tiramisu Pana cotta
MUST TRY: Pichana, carpaccio, burrata: 11/10!!! They were all so good. The seasoning and sauce were perfect. Would have preferred a runnier burrata but it’s still top because of the taste pairing with the other ingredients.
Special shoutout: BROWNIE - 11/10 This was on the house because my partner and I were celebrating our anniversary. It was so good, we both agree it was the best dessert. Love love loved it. Moist, sweet but not overly so, and rich.
PRETTY ALRIGHT: Sangria, fried, panacotta
Fries were nice, it’s the soft type on the inside and firm (but not crispy) on the outside. Seasoning was nice.
Sangria took a while to grow on me but appreciated it at the end
Pana cotta is yummy! The mango they added was a nice touch.
WOULD NOT REORDER: Broccoli, rib eye, tiramisu The broccoli had a charred taste but it was nothing to shout about and the pairing with the other ingredients was a bit separate and flat.
Rib eye sauce (yellow coloured one in the picture) destroyed and overpowered the taste of the meat. Had to scrape it off and it already ruined the pieces it was placed on :(
Tiramisu is not bad; but the lady fingers are only soaked when the staff pour the sauce over. This means the sides are soaked but not the middle. Other than that it’s a decent tiramisu, just not the ideal Italian type (again, personal opinion)
Other things: There isn’t air con so you may want to request specific seats depending on the weather.
For service, staff are wonderful but do get them to repeat the order after stating it - ours had small minor (insignificant) errors which we corrected when staff repeated.
Menu on chope is outdated, they didn’t...
