Read moreI have a bit of a bad experience with this guy
I had dinner there earlier today after making a reservation and specifically choosing the front row seats near the Balinese dance show. While we were dining, we saw many foreign guests sitting next to us, and some even moved to the dance stage to watch the performance. Seeing this, we also stepped forward and stood in the same way as the other tourists who had moved from their dinner tables.
However, just a few minutes later, we were reprimanded, while the others—who did exactly the same thing—were not. Is it because they are foreigners while we are Indonesians? I felt extremely unhappy with this treatment. It was clear discrimination between domestic and international guests. Do they assume we are less capable of paying just because we're locals?
The person I’ve marked in the photos approached us and told us to step down, but when I asked them to also address the foreign guests who had done the same, they gave no response whatsoever.
This is very disappointing, especially since I often bring my foreign friends to this place to enjoy the Balinese show. But after this experience, I will no longer recommend this place to anyone I know from abroad.
This was truly bad service for domestic guests.
As shown in the photo, there was a boy standing and a female tourist who was also standing—she had been dining right next to me earlier. They both moved up to the front of the stage area, even though I had been standing between them before. Yet, only we—Indonesians—were told to step down. The foreigners, despite being in the same position, were not approached or warned at all.
They were also only dinner guests, not ticket holders for the dance stage, just like us. Is Cafe Lotus truly making a distinction between domestic and foreign guests? If so, it is very disappointing and...
