Peadar Kearney's is a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic Irish pub experience in Dublin. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The traditional decor, combined with the lively chatter of locals and tourists alike, created an electric buzz that was infectious. But the real highlight of my visit was the live Irish music. The talented musicians played a mix of classic tunes and lively jigs, getting everyone tapping their feet and singing along. It was a truly magical experience, the kind that makes you fall in love with Irish culture. While the prices at Peadar Kearney's are a bit higher than some other pubs, the incredible atmosphere and top-notch entertainment more than make up for it. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time, soaking in the craic and enjoying the company of fellow music lovers. If you're looking for a genuine taste of Irish hospitality and some unforgettable live music, Peadar Kearney's is the place to be. Just be prepared to loosen your purse strings a little – but trust me, it's worth every penny.

Peadar Kearney’s Pub is an absolute gem in the Temple Bar area! While the bar can get pretty crowded, it still manages to maintain a comfortable and lively atmosphere, making it easy to move around and enjoy yourself. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the authentic Irish pub experience. The live music was fantastic, blending traditional Irish tunes with classic rock, creating the perfect vibe for a fun night out. Even though it’s in the heart of Temple Bar, it doesn’t feel overly touristy—it has a genuine local pub charm. The crowd was a great mix of locals and visitors, all just looking to have a good time. And to top it all off, In Stitches Comedy Club is located in the basement, which makes this place even more special. If you’re in Dublin, this spot is a must-visit for great drinks, amazing music, and a top-tier comedy show! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Dec 2024: Yet, again, another great visit to one of our favourites. Dec: 2023: P. Kearney's in Dublin is a Christmas tradition worth keeping! After enjoying a fantastic experience last year, we couldn't resist returning this year. The pub's nice vibe, coupled with its warm atmosphere, made both visits memorable. It's become a go-to spot, ensuring a festive and enjoyable time in the heart of Dublin. Cheers to P. Kearney's for consistently delivering a welcoming and festive experience! Dec 2022: Really nice place. Appears to be used more by the locals than the tourists and certainly friendly. I'd definitely return to this place rather than the Temple Bar strip.

The manager with the beard leaves a lot to be desired. Peadar kearneys has been a regular haunt for myself for a few years before covid and indeed when it opened during covid.

The atmosphere has changed drastically in the bar and is not customer orientated as before. I can only put this down to bad management and the abrupt, rude manner of this manager with the beard.

I have both experienced and witnessed this unprofessional manner and have been left uncomfortable trying to enjoy my pint of beer. People skills was obviously not a desired quality when employing a new manager in the bar.

The previous manager James had this place running to a tee. He was friendly and approachable at all times and was a pleasure to chat to in this bar. He would shoot the breeze with you as any good bar man would and in covid times would always find you a seat whilst maintaining all covid guidelines.

Peadar kearneys has lost its appeal to me over the past number of months. It has lost its iconic charm and unique atmosphere. I can only put this down to bad management since James left.

I will consider dropping in for a pint in future when before I could not pass without saying hello.
