I would not recommend visiting here due to the appalling treatment from the staff. Myself and 3 friends came here yesterday for a quiet drink before heading to the airport, but instead we received an awful experience. Upon entering there were a few tables free and we decided to sit in the corner. The table was slightly far away from us so we pulled it closer and then a lady who worked there came over and abruptly pulled it back. She informed us that the table next to us was reserved so we couldn't sit near it and to order drinks we had to go to the bar where they would ID us as we had to be 21. We said that was fine and she walked away. Immediately after she left, an older man who worked there came up to us and asked if we were 23 and to show him our ID's. This was strange as the previous lady had just said seconds ago that we needed to be 21? However this was again fine as we were all 23. Then after showing our ID's he proceeded to tell us that we could only stay for 30 mins. They were clearly trying to come up with any reason for us not to stay there and we got the message that we were not welcome. We left straight after this and went for a drink at a far more pleasant pub...

It was a very pleasant summer day in Dublin early evening 7:30pm bar wasn’t busy relaxed clients basking in the last of the days sun. Walked in to order two pints and politely asked for two smithwicks and indicated two with my fingers also anyway he poured one and presented the machine to pay I said oh could I kindly have two actually then he rudely made a face and very abruptly said you should have said two from the start !! I thought that was very amusing as he made it seem like they where giving pints for free or that I was exchanging a coupon he wasn’t happy with or that I changed the order a million times from complex cocktails to complex numbers various beers etc… very pleasant Canadian tourists I was chatting to also heard & disappointed by interaction. I said no that’s ok pls don’t pour it if ur not happy plenty of other pubs with wonderful staff and great atmosphere. Usual 7euro pints crap service don’t get the rational because there is none last time going there don’t recommend plenty of other options around. I must say other staff in my previous visits where pleasant and just normal behaviour u...

Wish zero stars was an option. The staff were incredibly rude as well as discriminatory. I was accused of being drunk and refused service. I tried to explain that I was sober and had not drunk anything alcoholic all day. Was still refused service, and his colleague chimed in saying that they didn't need to give a reason for refusing service. Upon further questions they explained that it was because of my eyes... I explained that I have a condition I was born with, that they move involuntary and I have no control. They were uninterested in trying to understand me. Not once since I was 18 have I been refused service and found the whole interaction very strange. Especially when they carried on serving people in the pub who were clearly drunk. My friends wanted to finish their drinks before we left, during which I was constantly stared at and made to feel very uncomfortable. I never got to try their food or drinks, so I can't comment on that. Based on thier service alone and that they discriminate against people I would avoid this...

After waking up to the shock of a snowy day in Dublin while on a few days break this is the cozy spot we ended up in after a day at Guinness Factory, luckily a taxi already booked for our Guinness trip when we left the factory a beautifully timed taxi dropping someone off was happy to take us on our onward journey..I literally googled 'popular Dublin pubs' and this came out top of my search, and I'm glad it did,the taximan knew it well, not even 10 mins from our pickup it was meant to be,just off the main street, shopping area I'd say, just tucked away.. small cozy intimate booths, very busy but not loud, very happy to get a small seat for 2 people, and every area being used by people enjoying company a meal or a quiet drink..the food was absolutely lovely, just great quality pub grub, just had a few drinks quick meal and on our way, delighted to have found this little gem.

As we were walking up to the pub in order to have a bit of an authentic Irish pub experience, we almost walked by because the crowd standing around in the street with their beers was so large. We thought there couldn't possibly be room for us. We only had an overnight layover in Dublin so we decided to try. I'm so glad we did. They had tables free upstairs and let us use one that was reserved for a party a little later. We had the benefit of being jetlagged and were looking for an early dinner. The food was great, the service was great, and it was quiet upstairs while the crowd was drinking downstairs. I asked for a whiskey recommendation and was giving something just my speed. I really appreciated getting to have that experience, and I would definitely go again if, no when, we are in Dublin in the future.

Unfriendly staff, small portions and high prices. Although the pub was not busy the waiter ignored us for about 10min until we came over to ask for the menu. After he came he moved the table about 0.5m away from us, as the table should not be there where it was!?! Of course we were not allowed to move to another empty table as it was only for four people. However, as soon as two regulars came in this was no issue anymore. The food was ok but compared with other pubs below average and really small portion size. In the end we had to chase down the waiter again to pay. Bad experience so if you are no regular who is greeted on arrival, I would not recommend to visit this place. This was by far our worst pub experience of Ireland.
