We had 2 lovely experiences here in the last month. We came for lunch to check it out for a possible event booking. The staff were lovely and seated us quickly. Kids colouring menus with crayons were easily available and helped with distractions. Our waiter was extremely bubbly, an infectiously cheerful- a great character with the kids and seems to remember his customers. Had us all laughing, especially my 4 year old. She brought her casper Teddy and so they attempted to draw it into my coffee which delighted her. We were offered drink while we waited and orders didn't take long to arrive. The food was lovely, generously proportioned so you get what your paid for and more. Staff checks in once or twice to make sure everything is to your liking and don't hover. We were given a chance to view the rooms available to book at length in order to plan ahead and our endless questions answered. Beautifully decorated, soflty lit and well kept toilets are downstairs and easily accessible by stairs and a lift. Our second trip for a birthday dinner treat for 2 adults, a teen and a 4 year old cost around 90 euro. This included a side or 2, a glass of wine and large drinks. Well worth it and within our budget. I ordered the beet burger which had some sort of mixture underneath including soft onions, herbs and spices to die for. We didn't order desert as we were stuffed and ready to roll. The ambiance adds to the experience, and for a restaurant, it surprisingly calm and quiet. All round a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxed and positive experience. One of our new favourites to add as a regular haunt. Looking forward to our dinner party next month 🤗

The Rating System Needs a Zero-Star Option to suit this place. Google should seriously rethink the rating system and offer an option for zero stars, because that is exactly what this kind of establishment deserves. While the waitress was friendly, her good service couldn't compensate for the fact that the food was utterly disgusting. We were staying at the nearby Motel One and had overslept breakfast, so we stopped here to grab a quick bite. I ordered the "Burrata, courgettes, tomato pesto & pea vinaigrette." What arrived was simply the usual round piece of burrata decorated with the some ingredients (completely unsuitable taste wise) nothing more. Not even bread was served initially. The flavor combination was absolutely disgusting. Even with the bread, which we had to ask for, the dish was completely inedible. The ambiance advertised on the webpage is completely misleading. At least where we were seated, the style was perhaps meant to be "shabby-chic," but in reality, the place looks rather trashy, from the floor to the walls. "Cheap" is the right description. My husband's beef sandwich had nothing to do with a traditional beef sandwich. He described the flavor as prepackaged, and the beef itself was barely noticeable inside the ciabatta bread. We were charged for the sandwich despite both of us trying it and leaving the entirety of the food untouched on our plates. I have no idea how this place has survived so far with all the competition around. God bless the person who created this kitchen menu, and good luck.

To the decision makers at The Woolen Mills.. consider what you’re doing to patrons by surprising them with an unannounced 10% service charge after a delightful meal filled with delicious textures and flavors in a space filled with enjoyable musical styles from various decades. Instead of walking outside reflecting on the seasoning or flavors, you’ve set the final moment up to be confusion and frustration. Questions such as, “What is the service charge?” or “Is this for the waiter or the business?”may cross their mind. And when asked about the meal by friends, the guest will recall the meal with a story that ends on a downbeat and the friends will say, “Oh. Well I guess we’ll go elsewhere.” Decision makers, the last thing someone experiences is what lasts more than the experience. Step back and think about your own experiences. You are missing an opportunity to set your team and business up for thrilling levels of success. I was impressed by the vegan meal I had and my partner relished her meal as well. Both of us lost the glimmer in our eye when we saw the 10% service fee. If the service provided blew us away, we’ll add a tip. Candidly, it was fine. This was the only restaurant we have dined at in Dublin that did this. In simple terms, it’s not good business.

Amazing value, food and service. We arrived one hour early and with an extra person on top of our original booking for 4 to celebrate my daughter's graduation.

For Garry the manager that was no problem and we were immediately accommodated and made to feel welcome. Our 5th guest was 1 hour late so we drank cocktails and had 2 x the excellent nachos starter. Cocktails at €12 each didn't break the bank and were tasty so we kept them coming ;)

The menu is limited but there are good veggie options and something for everyone. We had 3 x veggie burgers and 2 x mussels. The helpings were very generous and the waitresses very helpful.

The atmosphie had a lovely buzz and looking around everyone else was enjoying themselves. The time flew and our table had to be made ready for the next sitting. Gary moved us over to another table and helped us move so we carried on with cocktails until 10pm having a lovely time.

When we got the bill it was less than I thought and a 12.5% service charge was added. I asked if this went to the staff and it did so I added another tip on top to round it to 20% as the waitresses were attentive and always watching us to make such we were well looked after while remaining in the back ground. We got more cocktails and when I went to settle the bill I mentioned it was a graduation party and it transpired that Garry had gone to the same college as my daughter. The next minute we were delivered delicious lime shots on the house.

The whole evening was better than we could have hoped for and this was down to the staff and delicious food of the Wollen Mill. My wife, my two daughters and their best friend could not recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Well done to the Wollen Mill for being able to deliver such a quality experience at such a competitive price. Big thanks to Garry and his team -...
