Hard to get excited about this place when you spend 100’s of Euros on dinner for the family of five and the service is the worst we have had in Italy in our six week vacation. Maître D united us in shouting from the tree tops this is the best place on Como…well that was the start of his lies…No cutlery when we were served our Antipastoi, plates and cutlery were not changed as the Mains arrived. No bread, and drinks order for table arrived after the Antipastiwas served and not all at once ~ 10 minutes apart. Had four different wait staff, and they had no interest in customer service. Maître D asked how the service was, he was not open to constructive criticism and told me to go and find another place that offers five star service. Shouldn’t all restaurants in a high tourist area be striving for a five star level of service? Would suggest you go to an international food chain that can offer better service than this place!!! A waste...
Read moreWe have been in Europe for 3 weeks and were craving an American style breakfast - a girl can only survive off of croissants for so long!!
I found this place on google and after looking through the menu, was excited to try it! We got up at 9am and walked over. The patio has tons of open seating, but within 15 minutes, it was completely full!
I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs well done with a peach tea. My husband got the pancakes with Nutella and strawberries with a Chai latte. The food came out SO quickly! I couldn’t even believe it (especially after this many weeks in Europe getting used to the slower pace at restaurants). The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was perfect! Exactly what we were wanting after weeks without American style breakfast.
I wish I had taken pictures! I highly recommend this place for their brunch menu!! We plan on going back another day...
Read more. This place really thinks it's some kind of elite spot in the city, but in reality, they can’t even get a simple breakfast order right—let alone show basic respect to their guests. My sister, who has been a strict vegetarian for 40 years, was shockingly served sausages in her so-called “vegetarian” breakfast—even after double-checking with the waiter that it contained no meat. And the worst part? They didn’t even bother to make it right. The so-called "chef" literally just took the sausages off the plate, left the potatoes sitting in the same grease and sausage residue, and sent it back out. The plate still reeked of meat, and they thought that was acceptable. It's absolutely revolting, careless, and shows a complete lack of professionalism or basic culinary ethics. Disturbing is an...
